I'm not really feeling anything from this album.  It's very same-samey, and I really wish Russian Circles would try something out of the box. I mean, this would be a great album from some random band, but for Russian Circles' 7th studio album, it's really predictable. I'm hoping it will grow on me over time, but after a few listens, it just kind of feels like whatever... 😐

LOL, bubblegutz was probably reefed as usual. Most of the big name post rock bands eschew the moniker for some reason, but shorthands or labels or genres as a starting point of identification for discussion. Not sure why they do, especially Mogwai. Automat is a collection of METZ non-album singles, B-sides, and rarities dating back to 2009, available on LP for the first time, and including the band’s long out-of-print early (pre-Sub Pop) recordings. And Automat is a chronological trip through the lesser known material of METZ. 
Included here are the band’s first three 7” singles, recorded 2009-2010 and originally released by We Are Busy Bodies Records; a demo version of “Wet Blanket,” the explosive single from 2012’s METZ; two tracks from the limited-edition bonus single that accompanied preorders of METZ; “Can’t Understand,” originally released in 2013 by [adult swim]; and both tracks from the band’s 2015 single on Three One G. 
Consumers of the vinyl format of Automat will be rewarded with a bonus single that includes three additional tracks: a cover of Sparklehorse’s “Pig,” from a very limited 2012 Record Store Day split single originally released by Toronto’s Sonic Boom record shop; “I’m a Bug,” a cover of The Urinals’ art-punk classic, originally released on YouTube (not an actual record label) in 2014; and METZ’s previously unreleased rendition of Gary Numan’s “M.E.”

Don't know how this hasn't made it on the board yet today.  For those of you that wanted their debut but not spend exhorberant amounts of money on it, now is your chance.

This has to be emphasized. One man, who owns and operates his own analog recording studio in 2018, has retained the license to a major label flop of a record (not talking shit, they didn't do well on a mainstream level, pretty sure they never recouped on Astronaut) that he recorded 20 years ago, made a new analog mix, got it cut to lacquer and pressed to vinyl in what seems like a pretty huge quantity and is taking orders from a cult fanbase and is handling each and every order personally, on his own and the final product has been at least 3 years in the making. Now normally I would bitch at this price for this particular product but when you consider the scope of the undertaking and the lack of manpower, I can't really complain. 
 
Let's try not to lose perspective.

His posts read like someone who is completely disorganized. 
 
Anyone want to guess on when these actually ship? I could see it be June before he figures out how to get 1500+ mailers to the post office

Ben at SB said he's still not even sure on details but he'll definitely have some sort of exclusive release. Really strange how late-developing it is. I originally thought they wanted to pad this one out from the standard OST but now it's so close to street date...

Lakeshore confirmed via Instagram that these are the bonus tracks from Stranger Things 2 that were previously exclusive to iTunes/Apple Music.

Hi friends. Been a minute. Wanted you to know that our Downward is Heavenward re-issue is currently in production at RTI in CA. I expect to have records here at my house at the end of November. I haven’t set an official release date yet, but it should be sometime in November. I know you have waited a long time for this. I’m sorry. I checked out for a few years. I’m kinda back. I think you’ll like the reissue. I hope so, anyway. It was cut from analog masters and includes three b-sides. Double album. 180 gram. And Jay Ryan is currently working on an accompanying poster.
