The simple solution is just don't buy the overpriced shit. I don't even go to RSD anymore because it's so overhyped and most of the stuff is crap. When I did go I would buy a bunch of stuff I thought I needed. In hindsight, most of the records I could have lived without or bought cheaper a year later. It used to be fun to go, now it's just turned into a general waste of time. People lining up two days before a store opens is just pathetic. I guess if that's how you want to spend your short time on Earth, have at it.

Only band I couldn't get into last year was MLIW. I think Glassjaw, Foundation and maybe American Nightmare may have also filled up. I'm not sure if the stage situation is the same as last year though. Last year the main stage was the outdoor stage in the back that holds like 2000 people. The land the venue is on was sold in October and I'm not sure if construction has started back there and whether that stage is available or not. I also feel like the headliners this year are much smaller than last year soooo...Quicksand and L7 compared to Descendents and Coheed

So, KarbomB is opening up for Nofx at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA on April 25th. If you are going to that show, I recommend heading out early and checking them out. They are a great live show, and you should be able to pick up the vinyl or whatever from their merch guy. I'll also be insanely jealous of you because you are seeing them play with Nofx.

Vinnie let me know today that the 8th color (Toronto) missing for the Conviction Notice set is "clear root beer". That Criminal Records one you guys are talking about and the Toronto one are the only two that I'm personally missing from my collection.

I hate when they do this. The Pears preorder is supposed to go up Monday, but what are the chances this lasts until then so I can buy both together?

Interesting. Did you write to [email protected] and mention that you received a damaged jacket, send a photo of the vinyl, or ask any form of polite question, directly? If so, did he not respond withing a day or two with an equally polite, rather helpful note? Did he not answer your questions, offer to mail you a replacement jacket or any other kind of out-of-pocket solution that cost you not a dime?
 
Or... did you get your nose out of joint and make a post here, casting aspersions? Was the box flimsy and packed poorly... or was it heavy weight with extra cardboard / filler? Did the USPS damage a perfectly reasonably packed box, perhaps? Do you live in Chicago, an apartment complex, or in any other situation where there was anyone handling the box, post USPS?
 
We have received (as far as I am aware) exactly zero messages from people with damaged Ship Thieves records. That is nice, but when shipping 250 records... you'd expect one or two to get sat on by USPS, although they are generally rather kind in their handling overall.
 
The bottom line is that you are bummed because you brought to the table your love for Wollard and Ship Thieves, which of course we share. It's important to you... and you were looking forward to a certain experience, opening your box and casting eyes on your new record for the first time. That is understandable... and I salute you!
