Most people in the south have known about Isbell for a while but it seems the rest of America has started to take notice as well. Couldn't happen to a better dude. Maybe won't get it for cost but prices have to come down on this after a while. I have the bootleg version of Southeastern and The Elizabeth Cook 7" and those were way more limited. I didn't get a copy either but one of my friends is giving me her copy because she knows how big of a fan I am. Good luck in your search.

Call them whatever you'd like; basically anything is better than a mob of users trying to pitch links to earn $10 for a vinyl webstore.  The cringe is real.

I will never understand how Space Jam became the Ferris Bueller of the late 90s.

I ran into my local shop yesterday, Everybody's Records in Cincinnati, and they were out of the Pearl Jam single.  I got a Facebook message from them today saying they found a copy and asked if I wanted it.
 
I seriously cannot recommend these dudes enough.  If you're in town, it's a must to stop in.

I hate that for such an iconic band and such a great record what is supposed to be a 25th anniversary reissue got this kind of cheap treatment. I picked it up just because I am a big fan, and perhaps this inspires them to come back and do at least a reunion tour. Hopefully they do "static" justice. Because it has to be reissued soon enough.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the label used a CD source too.  Will update when a copy is in hand though.

Just pulled the trigger on SDRE Rising Tide from 1-2-3-4 Go Records. $61.61 shipped to Canada... Apparently it would have been $48 at the local record store if it would have come in, so I guess I can justify that. And at least I have it secured.

It's not a RSD "no returns" policy, just FYI.  None (or precious few) of the distros accept back any vinyl, never have.  If they allowed returns on vinyl, they would kill the market, as Best Buy & Walmart would be all over it.  It would get really ugly.   
 
Edited to add... stores who overbuy and are left with worthless stock - and we've done it - have only themselves to blame for not being better in tune with their customers' needs.

Totally agree. Listened to it yesterday for the first time, and I was astounded at how great it sounds. Wish all new vinyl sounded this clean. And then the album, of course, is fucking genius.

Sounds incredible on my Rega.
A+ reissue.
 
Also, The Cinematic Orchestra Ma Fleur.
2xLP at 45rpm on opaque blue vinyl.
Minor surface noise, but very pleased overall, especially since I didn't know they were going to be pressed at 45rpm.
 
 

Definitely prefer the french girls in the garage comp this year over the other. You can listen online if anyone is on the fence. 

Got the new Taffy in today. Rushed to listen to it. It's so damn good. It's their usual style of dream pop but a little bit heavier and fuzzier this time. 
 

 
 

My buddy and I woke up at 4, drove an hour and a half to soundgarden in Baltimore. At 615 we were in the 30s in line. I wanted space jam, he wanted marcy playground. They said they got no marcy's and space jam was long gone before we got up there. Went to a 2nd store that had normal inventory to look at while waiting in line. While we were doing that someone cut the line in front of us and one other guy. We watched him grab the last marcy right in front of us. Probably won't waste my time with RSD again, just try online. Needless to say we're still looking for those if someone could me out let me know, thanks!

I skipped this year as there was nothing good being released but my neighbor came home with a car filled up rsd stuff and says he plans on flipping. I was like wtf. You think you know a guy then they go and do that.   Smh. 

Another thing about RSD Ebay sales: there are some vigilante / activist buyers out there who deliberately f--- with the flippers.
 
These guys have no intention of really buying the overpriced title.  They register with new names to Ebay and commit to buy expensive pre-order items, but then they do not pay.   The seller has to wait for 48 hours before filing his non-paying complaint, and he has to wait two more days before he can cancel the order and re-list.  In the meantime, RSD has come and gone and the prices have dropped sharply.   Do this enough times and the flipping will stop ...

That's a huge fucking bummer.
