I do not at all believe in karma or anything spiritual, but I believe in the future.  I played sports all my life, went to school (obviously), and got help from a lot of people who had a huge impact on my life.  I had a family friend help me out a ton with college and gift me a semester abroad.  With all that, I've become a teacher, I coach all year round in 3 sports, and I talk to young people to help them through anything they need.  I hope to inspire them, even if it's just one person, to create something great, to become better, to learn something new, or just to pay it forward themselves.
 
Just think if more people took on a life mission like this...

I never shave and get asked daily now if I'm doing no-shave November. No, I'm just continuing being really fuckin lazy.
I trim once a month or so just because. I haven't clean shaved in years. It's just not worth it to me, and on top of that I can rock a beard because I'm an educator and it looks academic, so fuck shaving.

I'm a loser, so I'll probably buy all the badass versions I can find.

The point is you don't attack Apple. Apple sells products because they are Apple. They noted that the 14 year old upper middle class demographic has their parents money to throw away and they came in and destroyed it. They noted that sleek, no matter how shitty will always win. Apple is by far one of the greatest marketing companies of our lifetime, they've literally sold the most mediocre shit since conception and yet nothing will slow them down. They won their market share through advertising and hype, no other company can compete with that. They saw North America for what it was, a shallow, hollow, hole and exploited it to the max.
When it comes to computers they had a bit more of an advantage. As a guy who can get by on a computer but has no real knowledge about them, I will 100% every single time buy an Apple computer if it means that I don't have to deal with Windows. Yes, I will pay 3x the money for a shittier computer so long as it means I don't have to touch that operating system. I know it has way less ram, memory, video cards, whatever the fuck else, but I couldn't give a shit because it means not dealing with Windows.
Phones though are a lost cause. Apple is cool as shit overall. I don't feel that way personally and I'm guessing 99% of you don't feel that way either but that's the point. They couldn't care less about all you people that know shit. You guys are just a pain in their ass, why would they aim for you when you are the people who will take advantage of warranty plans and understand how phones work when shit breaks? Fuck that, they want the dumbasses who will throw away their 4S the second the 5 comes out. And they have that market already so why would they go out of their way to please you, the ones who will never be happy?
Want to know what isn't cool when your parents will pay for everything? A fucking Samsung. What the fuck does Samsung make? Who is even in their commercials? What these phones actually do MEANS NOTHING. That's the most beautiful point in all of this. Not only do they have people lining up and stomping over their peers for this shit, they have a ton of people who can't stop talking about their phones and how terrible they are that by the time you get to the store, you want one just to piss that asshole off.

1 - S&P SPECIFICALLY said that it was downgraded because of House Republicans holding the debt ceiling hostage.
2 - This is a dumb controversy, but while the final lock was thrown on the door in 2009 under Obama, the gears got rolling under Bush and Obama didn't say he'd keep it open no matter what, he said he'd do whatever he could to try to keep it and others like that one open. Auto-bailout. Can't win 'em all though.
3 - "You didn't build that!" is referring to the roads and the education and everything that every business relies on. "The private sector is fine" or whatever that quote probably wasn't the best, but it had added jobs consistently and the only reason the jobs report ever got negative numbers was because of public sector cuts.
4 - Yes, both Ryan and Obama have the same exact cuts to Medicare.
I'm watching Fox for some reason right now and Ann Coulter just called college kids infants and said we should raise the voting age.

I just read the last 5 or so pages and man was it a rollercoaster.

I don't hate this album, but it never grabbed me. A few songs are good, but it just isn't as exciting. The lyrics are also a significant step backward.
I'm glad they hinted at not wanting to depress their fans with whatever they eventually put out next.

I'm listening to the LP now, just used my DL code so I can have it on my ipod too.
I DLed spotify, then I realized that I have the mp3s of whatever I want to listen to, have my ipod and therefore all my music in my car, and my phone/a webpage (rather than a program) can play all my music via google music, so Spotify is useless to me.
I truly understand Scott's stance, but I've spent thousands of dollars on music that I downloaded first over the last decade. If someone didn't illegally send me Hot Damn! I don't know if I would've bought anything by Every Time I Die, and they're now my favorite band. I wouldn't know what Polar Bear Club is, because I heard the name a lot but it wasn't until I DLed an album that I then bought 4 LPs and 2 EPs from them. I'm thinking that people on this board aren't the right people to berate for downloading an album since it's a community of people who ar ehere because they buy the physical format of music. We're not a bunch of johnny penny-pinchers who just don't want to spend the money.

That guy ranting is kind of how I feel about the band overall, but I don't care enough to write huge rantings.
The stuff generally sounds good, but when you really want to dive in and connect with it all, you realize it's not deep, it's just a patchwork of catchy things. I don't DISlike the band, and I do have a copy of all their albums, but they're nothing I go out of my way for.

I've gotten a new mailman recently, but my old one hated life, apparently. He was a miserable cunt, and I always wanted to punch him in the face. He was just a disrespectful asshole and he couldn't possibly be more careless with my mail, let alone my records. Fuck him. I hope the reason he's not my mailman any more is because he committed suicide.

Honestly, I can't say I feel like I'm missing out. I hate normal golf and think frisbee is dumb, so a combination of both doesn't seem like it's for me.
