New song is faaantastic. Can't believe it's been so long since their last album. Cover art is funky, but has the cover art ever really been THAT great for BTS albums?

That shouldn't help you tbh. Just because a boot from 5 years ago sounds good to someone doesn't mean the new boot even has the right music on it which is a possibility.
Agreed. I have a copy from about the same time that sounds pretty good, but quality control is not really a big thing for unofficial pressings, I would imagine. Only Kanye boot that I have that sounds pretty bad is my copy of Yeezus

Those records stink. Pandering nonsense relevant to the time of their release only. Neither will age even half as well as anything they did prior to I Am Gemini (their fall from grace IMO). I have more faith in this solo album than I ever will in another Cursive record, which sucks because they were once a band I swore by 😕
Completely agree with this sentiment. I've definitely listened to all of them, but 'Mama, I'm Swollen' was the last one I really dug. Glad that they are still active and putting stuff out, but it's just not doing it for me much anymore 🤷♂️

yeah, you're probably gonna have to spend a bit more haha. All my copies were $150 or more before shipping, and from Europe. I bought them as a coping mechanism for when my last childhood cats died within a month of each other last year, and I think i was in around $200 total for each. I didn't care about cost, I just needed them to help me.
The band was supposed to do them before Covid hit, and intends to eventually get to it, so we may get lucky, but you're going to have to either wait it out, offer up more cash, or hope to get lucky on Discogs haha.
Godspeed on your search friend.
Fair enough! Saw the last few sales on discogs for the US version was in the 75-120 range 🤷♂️. I see now, too, that the EU copies go for 😳 a lot more than I thought! I'm pretty open to negotiation with anybody. Sorry to hear about your cats...I'm proud cat dad myself and can't imagine where I'd be without my boy. This album definitely soothes the soul. Updated the op to trades and willing to negotiate..thanks!

Looking to trade or buy. Probably going for US press due to cost, but just want this album so I am open. Lemme know....

Years ago somebody told me that Davey wants AFI vinyl to stay limited, which is why the band never advocates for represses. I'm unsure of the validity of that statement, but it would explain why the band and labels never push for this with them.
Nitro must've missed that memo. Pretty sure there's like 20+ different pressings of 'The Art of Drowning' lol.

I guess the blue variant sold out? It doesn’t appear to be listed at all any more.
Very possible. He probably gets a bit more exposure having Polyvinyl handle things now. There were copies of the blue 2nd press he did sitting in the Earth Analog store for quite a while.

Fully expected to see Hey Mercedes to get something in all this. Hm...
Absolutely surprised they haven't. They were featured on the podcast and they are one of the finest bands to grace that label.

For anyone who's nervous about their order actually being fulfilled, it looks like Port of Sound still has a few copies. Five copies were shown in stock before my order today and now it shows that there are four left. I'm not counting on anything until I get a shipping notice but this at least seems promising for anyone who wants to grab one of the 4 that seem to be left. If this one and my Target order both come through, I'll offer my extra up here for cost.
A Visit to Albuquerque Transcends TimeWho says time travel isn't possible? Albuquerque's rich heritage and vibrant...visitalbuquerque.orgEDIT: Down to 2 copies as of 5:50 pm EST

Thanks! Went ahead and ordered as I waited a bit too long on other retailers.

Nice. Didn't know there was much of a demand for this with the Big School press still available, but always great for more of their stuff to be out there.

Yeah, I’ve never owned the Hot Topic press but I found it boggling how almost unanimously across the web, everyone seems to insist it sounds like shit. I’ve never had an issue with the 1LP version, but it’s so surprising that it’d sound worse spanned across 2 LPs. Hope they figure it out for the reissue.
They were...pretty bad. Idk if it was the master or the 'recycled marble' variant or what, but the og, which I tracked down later, sounds leaps and bounds better. I have since sold it to an old local member of the board, so am happy for another offering.

For anyone interested, there's a really good podcast celebrating Vagrant 25 Hosted by Matt from Get Up Kids. The Anniversary episode was really good and informative

This podcast is so goood. Love that Koufax was one of the bands covered so early in the series, definitely an underrated part of Vagrant's catalog. Can't wait to see what else they have in store!

The "recycled color" variant will forever make me think of Magic Bullet.
