Wish they would've been repressed under better circumstances, but I'm happy to see that the effort & money is going to a good cause.

Hydrahead is doing a fundraiser for Caleb Scofield's family and repressing his Zozobra releases on vinyl. All have been out of press for a while and were originally pressed in really small numbers. All the money raised will go to his family. Below is the text from the post from HYDRAHEADS facebook page. There honestly is not a better reason to pick these up and support his family and his music. 
 
"With the blessing of Caleb Scofield's family, Hydra Head is preparing to initiate a music based fundraising effort on their behalf. This will take shape in the form of a special reissue of Caleb's Zozobra albums on vinyl, an unreleased EP of Zozobra songs, and an Old Man Gloom Caleb tribute shirt. All proceeds will be donated to the Scofield family. This serves as our recognition of love and appreciation for Caleb, as well as a gift to all the people who've been positively impacted by his music. We are honored to help carry the torch of his creative voice into the future. The fundraiser will be launched later this week, details to follow. Thank you."
 
 
 

Amazing band, I'm sure it will be an incredible album.  Jason Farrell can seriously do no wrong and Joe Gorelick is one of the best drummers around.

As Swervedriver did, they didn't write a project timeline, so you really don't know when they are going to send the record to you...six months, one year?? Don't like this way to manage pledging....

"Soundtracks for the Blind is finished and is in the pipeline. It's taken forever to figure out the packaging and to master it properly. It will be available as a 4xVinyl set, as well as a 3xCD (the 3rd CD is the long out of print Die Tur Ist Zu). Release for Soundtracks will be in May. Die Tur Ist Zu will also be available soon as a limited 3 sided vinyl release, the 4th side being an etched graphic. It will be available for Record Store Day, April 21st in North America (Mute to release at a later date). "

The Egg was authorized by the band, Pony Express Record wasn't....

I read that the record is done, recorded by John Agnello and it will be out in the spring....

This is one of my favourite Dischord release ever and i have the original, but i really hope to be able to buy this because of the remaster/color vinyl/2xLP thing. Beauty Pill are amazing too, i'm still hoping for  The Unsustainable Lifestyle vinyl press....
