  1. Definitely not selling it any time soon. I know it goes for big cash. I got it by placing an ad on craigslist back when it was only in SF. Went to the guys house and found the strangest collection of records: Cal Tjader, first pressing of Blue Train, Charles Manson, orginal sealed copies of Verbal Abuse's lp and 7 inch, and the OG Crue on Leathur. Bought them all for a few bucks each.
  2. I don't know if this originally came with a DL code, but my velvet copy did not. If anyone has an extra code they could PM, it would be greatly appreciated. Wanna blast this in my vehicle. I have a bunch of different codes that I could reciprocate with if you like! Thanks.
  3. I'm not that into Doom Loop. It's not a bad record, it just doesn't compare to Dig or even Best Friends. I bought all versions of Dig Up The Dead when it came out. I felt crazy at the time buying 4 copies of the same record. Sold one for near cost a few months ago and another for a hell of a lot more. Keeping my pink and white copies. It is by far their best record out of the three. I hope they repress it so more people can spin it.
  4. That fake jacket wear is really strange. I have an original Too Fast on Leathur Records and it looks like it's in better shape than your new ones. Hopefully they sound good.
  5. Can't believe these records didn't sell out at that bargain price of $46.
  6. That pretty much says more than most people know. I got one from them, but it sounds like they're sold out now. Go see Ty!
  7. This red is going to ruin my fight against multiple copies of the same record. DAMN IT!!!
  8. I don't know the Slowdive song, but he Mazzy Star cover sounds pretty much exactly like the original. Why do bands waste their time doing covers without radically changing them? Whenever I hear a band covering something with the same sound as the original it just seems like karaoke night. Best cover I've heard recently was Mark Lanegan doing "Flatlands" by Chelsea Wolfe. The music and arrangement is similar, but that crackly voice brings a whole different dimension to the song. I hope COTS comes to their senses and starts recording again. I think they were doing it better than most in this genre.
  9. I got shipping conf. on the 1st, the PO got the info on the 3rd and I don't know where it is now. I don't know when I ordered, but if you got the strawberry variant you got in before me.
  10. Looking forward to the next album exclusively featuring theremins, sitars, and Brian on the didjeridoo.
  11. I guess I don't understand why artists/labels would accept that? I understand that it possibly wouldn't be exactly like the plant's mock-up, but if for some insane reason I ordered a blue and white tie-dyed shirt from a company and they sent me a solid blue shirt, that just wouldn't be cool(except for the fact that tie-dye is stupid and I would be better off with a solid blue shirt, but you get the idea). I've never had records pressed and maybe the whole rolling the dice thing is just swallowed, but doesn't it cost more to have these fancy multicolor jobs? Some of these color combinations can sometimes look better than the jacket art.

  13. I initially got caught up in the hype machine(VC) and bought that Vega record. Some parts were interesting, but it was tough swallowing the pretentious sad cafe open mike poetry. What I do like about them is that I ordered the deluxe edition Wildlife thinking I might like it, but listened to the pre-download and fucking hated it so much I put it up on the bay the day it arrived and sold it for a stupid amount of money. Thanks for sucking La Dispute.
  14. Bought cover and vinyl sleeves from Sleevie Wonder. The cover sleeves are fine but the record sleeves suck. Online they looked like the anti static ones that I have bought from other companies but they ended up being made out of the regular record store plastic outer sleeves cut smaller. I wish Sleeve City didn't start putting a lame logo on their inner sleeves!
  15. Isn't there any quality control person at these pressing plants? I would think that someone would stop the presses and check to see if it looked anywhere near the mock up. Of course, it will not affect play, but if I were the artist I would be a little pissed that I didn't get what I ordered, as it would reflect on the vision I had for my art. Brown it is.
  16. I saw that whole FB thread and it's kind of a bummer for whatever side you fall on. Look at my want list and maybe we can work out a trade for the RC version.
  17. While still respecting the label's wishes, I would suggest people write the label that has been mentioned in this thread. Maybe I'm crazy, but you won't get mine even for $300, once I actually get it. Good music makes me too happy. Good luck to everyone!
  18. I really hope there aren't any more pre-orders this month. I feel like crap buying myself so many damn records!
  19. Got mine today. "Stoked" doesn't even come close! Thanks again to JoshuaNilk for the heads up.
  20. And a box set? I wish I had patience. Way to take my money multiple times!
  21. Got Fuzz and two of the three V3.Thanks to everyone who provided info on these. I thought these were going on sale in Dec. Good thing I checked vc today.
