  1. I would have loved it if thrice would have headed in the direction of the earth will shake / hold fast hope / the messenger / etc. Rather than what they've done with the last few records but I dont hate any of their later albums either including this one.
  2. clear w/ shard copies of axe to fall don't even sell for anywhere near that price (and thats a better album + cooler looking record). that record will sit on discogs forever.
  3. i actually think that track is way better than the grey.
  4. Got my yellow copy today. Still pretty certain this will be my favorite album of the year.
  5. noticed this too - though, im not really in love with either of these new tracks anyway.
  6. taking a chance on the black/grey. hope the rest of the record is better than the new song.
  7. all 3 songs are different and awesome. pretty sure this will be my favorite record of the year.
  8. i like the album quite a bit but the latter half of the record is definitely more on the mellow side. to me, the first two songs that were released and all the music used in the promo videos were a pretty good indicator of the direction this record was headed.
  9. they also headlined a tour with between the buried and me, fear before the march of flames, misery signals, and a couple other bands as support around this time. that was in a 2500 cap venue here. cant think of the name of the tour right now but it was just after redeemer was released.
  10. drone metal, more or less. check out the sunn / boris split and black one if you were to start anywhere. monoliths and dimensions is good as well.
  11. Well, finally made it to a local store and picked up a copy. No sticker on the cover and it was a green copy as well.
  12. has anyone got a green copy that didnt have a sticker on it?
  13. http://lambgoat.com/news/comments.aspx?id=29972#0 lol. 11,000 copies sold.
  14. Yes, but you're also talking about pretty old records that have found their way into people's permanent collections over a period of years - not something that was released 10 days ago. I mean, don't get me wrong - I'm definitely a fan of sleep, high on fire, om, etc. But I've never thought of any of these bands as being hyped this much. I know it's been a long time since sleep has put out a full length but if people are this crazy about this record they should be losing their minds over om and high on fire records as well because influences from those projects has definitely crept into sleep. Anyway, rambling aside - I just can't see 10k of something being this difficult to find so I suspect once the hype dies down they'll be easier to find. Wait 10-15 years though - and yeah, one of 10k could be just as hard to find as those Mars Volta or AFI LPs.
  15. yeah, it really shouldnt be this difficult to obtain a record thats supposed to be "limited" to 10k.
  16. Pretty sure Trustkill was absorbed by their distributor (red music?) and ferrets catalog ended up with Atlantic? Josh TK runs bullet tooth - home of third rate hardcore and metal bands that pretty much nobody cares about including VC favorites the paramedic. He did put out that last most precious blood record though and that was pretty good. Trustkill was on a roll with ptw, hopesfall, etc. back in the day but once they started signing terrible shit like fight Paris, bedlight for blue eyes, etc. you knew it was over. Don't ask me why I even remember those bands. Anyway, Carl ferret has probably fared better with good fight and has put out some pretty good stuff.
  17. hourglass and get the lead out could probably pass as puscifer songs but with the others i dont really hear it either.
