The thing that feels missing from all of this talk is the cost / benefit ratio. Ben almost certainly flips enough that a Schedule C makes sense and is worth the hassle of tracking expenses and itemizing deductions. 
 

For the vast majority of folks it probably won’t be worth it. Just report the 1099 as income. If you make $3,000 selling records this year you owe like $150 bucks, or more likely, you’ll have $150 less in your refund.

I’m not sure that is true. Gifts aren’t taxable and the law explicitly states “commercial transactions”.

I’m not clear how they are defining that but it could be possible to use Venmo and PayPal and not encounter this change. 

Keep the distinction between reported and unreported sales in mind. Generally you have always obligated to report all income, most people just don’t and practically, it’s fine, even if it is technically a violation. 
 

This new rule applies to “certain” online retailers and if you exceed $600 in sales, they will send a 1099 to you and the government. You do not have to guess or even necessarily track you will be notified explicitly when you’ve met the criteria for reporting. 

I don’t think you need to sell your whole collection man. Just sell the stuff I want.

Looks like you’re right! Reads pretty clearly that it is  a 12” x 12” print. 

Woof on the $14.99 shipping from the ETID store. Fine print says ETID store variants are either /2000 or /1000 and the two alternate screen-printed covers (/250 each) are the more exclusives elements. 
 

If you’re looking for more limited run vinyl color, it ain’t direct from the band.  

I’ve stopped collecting at least three times already. 

Feels a lot like Bronx IV to me personally. Couple rippers, and a bunch of tunes I don’t see myself revisiting often. 
 

Generally a big fan so I’m always happy to buy and support, but so far this record doesn’t align with my personal tastes, which generally favors the  more aggressive stuff.
