When I become an adult will I be bitter and annoying?

Stating your opinion shouldn't rain on anyone's  parade.  Honestly, it's bewildering to me that you can't find any excitement in any of the mindbogglingly awesome records that the Mars Volta put out, grammy's and all.  Saying nothing that Omar has done has excited you really makes me think you just weren't paying attention because the guy has released upwards of 40 albums in that time.  Saying not one of them excites you is just lazy, especially if you enjoyed ATDI.

It baffles me that people are expecting 40+ year old dudes to bang out the same old shit they did when they were 18.  I thought everyone knew by now that it just doesn't happen, ever.  They're different people, with different circumstances.  Enjoy it for what it is, or don't.  

And everyone harps on that reunion, where Omar stated he hated every last bit of it because his mom died right at the beginning of it.  I'm not sure about you guys, but I give him a pass.  By all accounts, the most recent touring was outstanding, Jim Ward or not.

True, it doesn't mean that they're not planning on working with Sub Pop in the future. But that TRL blog entry doesn't sound like Atomic was a one-off release.

Hi all,
So here's what's going on: we've shipped almost all the super deluxe packages except some of the ones where someone bought both a super and an ultra deluxe. The ultra deluxes are now all done: signed, assembled, ready to go. We had a small delay because Kurt was really sick. He's all good now. This mail-out has been a little drawn out, true, but we're talking about 350 records with so many moving parts and all of it (screening, stamping, signing, numbering, assembling, packing, shipping) done by hand, by us. We've been shipping these out every day since the 12th (we couldn't mail anything on Sunday or the MLK holiday, but we were still packing, etc). Plus, we're simultaneously trying to keep up with orders for the retail version. So, it's Lilys fever around Frontier! We're hoping you find the results worth it!

Got my copy of the super deluxe. #3/300. The packaging is very much like the original Slumberland pressing. Matte sleeve with glossy insert. Kind of plain but I'm very happy to this on a double LP with the Tonebender e.p. tracks.

 
 

It's gonna be hard to Euro 2008 pressing (with 320 in the deadwax). I had the Simply Vinyl reissue and the 320 blew it out of the water.
