  1. Saw them play last night in Omaha and they played equal if not more songs from Bloom as the new album. Was a great show and their sound translates really well to a live performance, especially Victoria's voice. I encourage everybody to go see them if you get a chance. Enjoying Depression Cherry too the more I listen, another solid entry to their catalog.
  2. Like most of the games in the series, haven't played Zelda 2, the DS ones or the the 4 swords games. Played Link's Awakening and Oracle of Seasons and Ages on my GBA over and over again back in the day. The linking system in the oracle games was pretty cool. Just got around to playing The Minish Cap recently on my Wii U as I never did back then and enjoyed that one quite a bit also.
  3. Around $80 each for Staflyer 59's Gold and The Fashion Focus albums. I own most of their other OOP full lengths, but was able to get those for $40 or less.
  4. Forgot one of my favorites, Zoo Animal from the Twin Cities
  5. Grimes - Visions is probably a contender for my top ten, and I also really enjoy the following: Adventures Angel Olson Beach House CHVRCHES Kye Kye Paramore Phantogram Velour 100 Whirr (When Applicable) The xx
  6. Got this one at Mills Records in KC when I was there last year for buying the CHVRCES album, pretty solid IMO.
  7. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1184966134/brooklyn-vinyl-works-a-superior-record-pressing-pl Here is a kickstarter campaign to assist in the opening of a new pressing plant in Brooklyn. A lot of the pledges are guaranteed spots in line etc. if anyone is looking to get an album pressed.

  9. Futile Devices is the first track off Age of Adz, but yeah it's definitely not in line with the rest of the album tonally.
  10. Super rad that they're re-doing it. Reminds me of when they rebuilt the Hobbiton set for the new Hobbit movies and made it permanent.
  11. Accidental thumb placement over the price tag too I'm sure.
  12. Copied from youtube video description: An announcement concerning pre-order start times from Mike Almquist, the manager of mewithoutYou. The new album, Pale Horses, is up for pre-order on 5/4 9PM PST and 5/5 12AM Midnight EST. The Limited Deluxe Edition of the album is only available through mewithoutYou.com. The CD, LP and Digital are all available through runforcoverrecords.com youtube link:
  13. Yeah it's the poster that came with some of the pre-order packages along with some of the other extras like cwhit pointed out. Might as well get rid of the leftovers I suppose.
  14. Saw on my social media feeds earlier that Explosions in the Sky started a bandcamp page if anyone is looking for .flac etc. copies of their albums. In addition, there are summaries on each page about the creation of each album if anyone is interested. https://explosionsinthesky.bandcamp.com/
  15. As a South Dakota resident driving to the Twin Cities to usually see shows, this is great news.
  16. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1641828948/the-prayer-chain-20th-anniversary-mercury-vinyl Didn't think this would ever happen. Pretty stoked.
  17. Haven't seen one of the robots which is kinda cool, but not too impressed otherwise.
  18. I have a 7 LP boxset of Beethoven's 9 symphonies, and it's set up this way Side1/14 Side 2/13 etc. Would actually be nice to have a turntable like that sometimes, you could have continuous music for hours. I suppose too if you wanted to be really lazy you could just have 2 copies of every album and stack them so you wouldn't have to deal with flipping. The first turntable I used was my parents old one that had this function but it was broke so it was just annoying to get the albums on and off the spindle.
  19. So are y'all going to trust your favorite turntable manufacturer to get you up in the morning and to work on time?
