Alright let's get this hype train rolling again.

 

Is there anything I should have been doing this week/tonight in prep for TTK launch?

 

Little bummed out I have work tomorrow so I won't get to play at launchtonight, but I've already decided I'm not working the rest of the week and just binging video games. Can't wait to play with you all soon!

That was fun, and interesting as someone whose never looked at a single stat for my characters. Yay for top 1 or 2% of total crucible score on all 3 characters! And kind of shocked I was top 4% of IB kills and wins on my warlock, being that character only existed for 2 IB weekends.

Played for a hour before work this morning and like it so far. The first mission was awesome. There were a bunch of level 40's already. I managed to make it to 36 in a short time of fooling around.

 

Yea if you had bounties saved it got you to 40 almost immediately. It'll be getting to a light level that lets you run nightfall that will be tough.

Still so torn on what class to start with first when I get home tonight...I have all day at work to decide lol. 

 

Anyone seen/played with the new hunter subclass yet? It's the most intriguing but when I primarily play for crucible, not sure the super is going hook me enough. The warlock seems awesome but I'm imagining it will take over as most played. Titan super seems cool but just not sure how unique it would feel versus gunslinger.

Been playing crucible most of the morning. Hunter super is good. If you get caught in the void web you cant move. Like the wizard poisin clouds.

So is it just me, or are levels completely irrelevant at this point?  If your ability to mitigate (receive) damage and also deal damage is now determined by your light level [and gear] – what's changed?  Isn't that how it's always been?  When you die in a Nightfall, you'll notice that it suggests a recommended light level to have; you can be level 80, but if your gear is garbage and your light level is low, you're going to die repeatedly.  Yes?  No?  Am I missing something?

 

At this point, levels only seem relevant to the enemy, to give you an idea of just how badly they may fuck you up.
