sirensongofra
My car's pretty much done so I'm looking to get a decent used car. Hopefully one with four wheel drive that gets good gas mileage. Not too picky other than that. Anyone have good experience with a certain car? Or have any suggestions?
amnstypls
Sounds like you want a Suburu. Show me the CarFax.
Satan
I'm going through the same thing. It's one thing after another. Today my driver door latch decided to go out. Door won't shut!
konk
Sounds like you want a Suburu. Show me the CarFax. This will probably be the most reliable. They may be ugly, but that's better than costly. Stay away from Audi Quattro.
danionly
Got a 2011 Subaru Legacy last year. Good car.
stranaspank
Love my Nissan Versa hatchback. Never wanted a hatchback, but fuck they're good for hauling stuff. Would buy again.

mappingtheyears
My 2007 Mazda3 has been extremely good to me over the past four years. I love that thing. emacs
jdtg
Last December, after 6 months of searching, I purchased a used 2005 4Runner. 4wd was a must for me as our winters can get pretty bad here. I happened to find one 250mi south of me on craigslist but from the pics and talking to the owner it was worth it for me to drive down and take a look. It was a little pricey due to low mileage (70,000) and toyota resale value (I guess) but after a year of ownership it's been the best car I've owned. My biggest advice is to take your time looking and carfax doesn't hurt
marc32137
I have a 2012 Kia Soul, love it. Not 4WD but great gas mileage. I plan on trading in my '09 Spectra for a Soul in the next few months. Cannot wait.
anthemforadoomed
Does anyone here have a Honda Element? I know its OOP (last model year 2011) but I'm seriously thinking of getting one. My friend had one for years and they're tight. Really really spacious, pretty good on gas for technically being an SUV, I back it.
lexicondevil
Older CR-Vs are very roomy and fun. I had a '99 and it did me well until it got rear ended. The newer models have many documented problems with the air conditioning destroying themselves. I upgraded to a 07 Pilot and am soooo happy. Having six cylinders gives me the power to bypass a lot of stupidness on the freeway. Everyone who rides in my car really digs it.
IanRees
Before i got my Soul i had a 98 (i think) Jeep Cherokee. Loved that thing, thrashed it to hell though.

The Vool
I'm thinking (for 12 years now) of getting myself a 65 or 67 Ford Mustang. But those are expensive over here (if you want to get one in good condition)
afireinside7444
I drive the wifes old 08 Mazda 3 95,000 miles I just do normal maintenance oil, tires, brakes, Just did spark plugs I do swap coolant and trans fluid every 2 years as a precaution. Only problem was the O2 sensor went at like 85k. I did swap the shocks because I think one was shot and the stocks were a bit limp. She has a new Mazda CX5 Sport AWD love that car 30 mpg AWD no issues as 35k mappingtheyears

mrc
Im going to be starting this process soon too. I have a 2005 mazada 6 that has 166K miles, but is starting to go south after 9 years. overall it was a pretty good car but did have several rounds of issues of the last few years that were pricey, and it didn't seem to hold up to wear and tear like previous cars (Civic and a Camry) and I'm not even that rough on my car. sirensongofra
Thanks for the suggestions and advice everyone! This is such a long process to find the right car haha Right now I have been looking into a 4-cylinder Jeep Liberty or Jeep Patriot. Has 4-wheel drive and good gas mileage. Anyone have experience with either of these?
