I would probably give this album a generous 65% approval rating and I'm a big FNM fan. I haven't really been interested in listening to it since the first week I got the CD. I was holding off until I got the vinyl to listen, but I downloaded the Bullmoose card and was not impressed. I had too cleanse my palate with 'Irony Is A Dead Scene'. It's not bad, neither frustrating, even with the fact that I wasn't expecting much from it. It just feels (like most post-reunion albums) like it lacks real intensity although you can feel the commitment to bring something decent to the table. And intensity and originality represented a big deal to FNM back in the day. I still don't think I'l end up buying it, can't see myself giving it frequent listens. My expectations were pretty low (as they always are for reunion albums after many years), but it's a solid listen for something that basically no one thought would exist.
