Tommy
I personally like having the vinyl from the origin country of the band. Me too, for some weird reason
Dr.SteveZissou
Me too, for some weird reason Get it from the source! I have the Australian King Gizzard pressings and Murlocs pressings. As well as POND.
wiscodeman
I personally like having the vinyl from the origin country of the band. Me too, for some weird reason That makes sense. I mean I do have a copy of the 45RPM Innerspeaker.. Maybe I will just order an AU color copy then!
Tommy
Yeah man, I got the 45RPM Innerspeaker from AUS too, LOVE it. The band was so new to me at the time. I was on the fence about buying but decided to pull the trigger since it had potential to be a game-changer for me. Best decision ever. Within 2 weeks the band blew up and the rest is history
SpazzyMcGee
Wish I could justify a $50 record as much as I've liked listening to these songs. Getting married and moving sure is a money pit
GazHilarant
Get it from the source! I have the Australian King Gizzard pressings and Murlocs pressings. As well as POND. I wish I had the 45rpm Tame Impala, I had listened to them prior to it's release and just never jumped on it. I always try and get my records from the artists country, they are usually a little better. I mean I have Noel Gallaghers High Flying BIrds, UK pressing and the sleeve itself is a dull matte on thick stock with the inner sleeves printed on thick cardstock. My friend has the US Pressing and the cover is thinner with a mild gloss, inner sleeves are printer but on paper. For King Gizzard, I mean.. these guys don't seem to repress much. I do have the US / International Float Along / Oddments which I have listened to many times. But I also have the original pressings for both those albums, I mean Oddments is probably the best looking sleeve design in my collection. spoon
According to Tame Impala's Instagram: HEY guys apparently there's a problem with the pre-order prices on the website but they're sorting it out... I wonder if that means they might be cheaper after all? Seems strange though considering other retailers have now posted colored versions for a similar price. Jordanlolss
From Facebook... "The pre-order link that went up yesterday is Australian based, so prices are in AU dollars and in line with music pricing in Aus. If you're not in Australia, don't buy from the Tame store. Prices are different all around the world (and probably significantly cheaper!), so find your local link and pre-order from there... Vinyl pre-orders will be going up in the US, UK & rest of world soon and we'll post as soon as they are live."
ptothedo
too much money. I'm not high Tame Impala.

Tommy
I bet the color version will be available for US Release. So was this 500 Worldwide or just 500 with the lenticulars?
Dr.SteveZissou
So was this 500 Worldwide or just 500 with the lenticulars? I think it was just 500 Lenticulars because they have a color vinyl only option. Do you think the US release will be different?
YouTwo
On their website, the color LP only version doesn't say anything about limits. At least not that I see anyway.
YouTwo
Looks like Bull Moose has pre-order up (No mention of color so I'm assuming just standard black version) for $23. http://www.bullmoose.com/p/19619858/tame-impala-currents
Blobby
Original listing said: "THIS PRODUCT INCLUDES 5 EXCLUSIVE LENTICULAR PRINTS. PRINTS ARE 30CM X 30CM. ONLY 500 AVAILABLE SO GRAB YOUR COPY NOW SO YOU DON’T MISS OUT!" A little misleading now that it appears like the color edition will be widely available. The 500 they were referring to must have been the lenticular prints.
Dr.SteveZissou
They didn't even have an option for color vinyl only when it first went live.

itsgoodtobefree
Oh sorry... I was just trying to help... I didn't mean to sound like a jerk, sorry. It's a better deal then Tame Impala direct, but it's still out of my price range. I'm sure lots of others bought this. Thanks for posting the link. WAXXX
happy to hear that color is still available. would have had no problem paying for the prints tho. and from the sound of it, i might have actually been able to get a copy in time if they were more upfront and clear about the details. i don't think as many people would have ordered so quickly. BarnyButteli
Translates to about $74 USD ....silver lining Ah, thanks for the info, my Paypal said I paid that amount so that's why I thought it was that much.
Barberbro
I was also under the impression that this was going to be limited in terms of colour. I think that the colour will be available as an indie store exclusive possibly...? Wonder if get music will refund orders. I'd rather support my local brick and mortar. jack8urt0n
ChardeeMacDennis
Went in with a few buddies yesterday and we got our copies for 55.75 a piece shipped to the states. Not bad
