monsterrod
All the cross-thread WAXXX hate is one of the most interesting things on the board right now. This is keeping me entertained while I pretend to work. nancy_raygun and donnelltech
orange_cow
I'm trying to collect every record ever made in the world (this world--NOT counting other worlds). I think I only need a couple more.

russtcb
Curious to know what people focus on here... at first, for me, death and black metal were the big things. Things like Immolation's "Dawn of Possession" and early releases from Incantation, Monstrosity, Krisiun, etc. I don't even listen to those records any more, really. Lately, as a result of my renewed interest in the band Isis, I've been bit by the post-rock bug HARD. And I can't stop buying, haha. First it was getting every Isis record on vinyl, and then going after new discoveries like Caspian, If These Trees Could Talk, Lights and Motion, sleepmakeswaves, and This Will Destroy You. Currently listening to something that came in the mail yesterday - Joy Wants Eternity "The Fog Is Rising". They're like This Will Destroy You mixed with Explosions in the Sky. They have the ambient chill pacing but more guitar-focused like Explosions In The Sky. I love this shit haha. Curious to know what you guys collect and what you play most often? I collect mostly what would considered pop/rock. I've got a lot of rap/R&B, a lot of metal, a little jazz and some country as well. I spin whatever I'm feeling like hearing at that time. Though 70% of my collection is pop/rock, I listen to an even amount of everything with country probably being the least.
Kdawq
I mostly buy 90s alternative and 70s punk but I'm open to any other genre.

rabbitvinyl
Currently listening to something that came in the mail yesterday - Joy Wants Eternity "The Fog Is Rising". Shit. I love this so far! I'm always looking out for new post-rock stuff to listen to and these guys are great! Thanks for the heads up. Where'd you purchase the LP? I'm on mobile and their bandcamp only seems to have a digital copy. Their site is just a black screen for me, too.

Gumbo72203
Hey Gumbo ! Another post-everything here but really shoegazing a lot the past couple yrs How did you ever find JWE?? I email with their drummer who runs the Etsy store where you prob got The Fog Is Rising. Emory said they might be recording a movie soundtrack - need to check in with him on that. Even the small postrock universe is enough to keep you busy and broke for the next 20 years I found it on Discogs. I bought it from a dude who was selling Sleepmakeswaves - "...and so we destroyed everything." Kinda bummed though; both records are listed as having a CD, and the dude didn't have them for either release. Also, the Fog Is Rising disc is pretty noisy. Can't win 'em all... definitely learned my lesson to check with sellers for everything. I assumed that since it was listed on the page, the dude had everything it was supposed to come with, because there were no notes saying it was missing the CDs. The album is great, pretty stereotypical post-rock but I love that shit. The post-rock bug is a good one to get bit by. Big post-rock guy myself. That & digging solo singer, songwriter stuff a lot lately. Coastlands - Come Morning, A Radiant Light (post-rock/ambient) Listening to some of their stuff now, this is cool. Its like This Will Destroy You but with beats behind it.

Would try the contact form. I haven't play my haze copy (got from a friend, not cleaned) but the 2 black copies I have sound fine.

I checked that etsy link and there was nothing for sale haha. Its kind of aggravating, because I feel like I'm going to just have to flip these records after having just bought them. I don't buy to resell... I buy to listen lol.
