Tommy
I skipped RSD altogether and snagged one off discogs last night for $30. Can't wait to spin it
Mattallurgist
I'm over the moon to finally have this. The quality is a lot better than I expected for a single LP, but the fade-out halfway through Saviours of Jazz Ballet at the end of Side A drives me absolutely nuts. I guess since the middle of the album flows uninterrupted it'd be a little hard to avoid.
throughbeingcruel
There were two copies at my local for $23.50 each yesterday, half hour before they closed.
Mars
So, I've never really heard Mew before and I bought this on a whim (thanks VC hype!) - blown away. So glad I picked it up. I do hate the cover though Tommy

If it had cut off after Saviors of Jazz Ballet it would have been a little smoother. But I suppose they were limited by having it as a single LP. It would have worked perfect as a double LP because there is 3 places where the music completely fades.

niblips
it fades out and fades in but it almost seems like it also overlaps a bar of music. I haven't compared it directly with the CD version yet. Has anyone compared it?
niblips
Frengers? no, the last 2 were pretty strange. Frengers seems rather normal compared imo.
Tommy
I actually love all their covers, the band has a sense of humor which I like. Look at 'Eggs are funny', being a composite of all their faces to make a weird creepy looking dude

YouTwo
If anyone is still looking for a copy, Turntable Lab just put some up. A little pricey though compared to what other sites have had it for.
The Saint
I really wonder if this will get a proper 2xLP pressing. The awkward split between sides is a turn off. The flow of this album is my favorite part.

The flow of this album is my favorite part.Nothing like taking one awkward split between sides and making it three...if the sound suffers from cramming too much per side, I get doing it, but arbitrarily making stuff that sounds fine as a single LP into a double is silly. YouTwo
There is actually 3 places where the music fades out so it could work better as a 2×LP. But I'm always in favor of a single disc.
