Sidney Crosley
Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. Possibly the weirdest, most amazingly ridiculous thing I've ever seen (from about 10-12 years ago, it's a fake low budget 80s show based on fake horror books by a Stephen King-esque writer). tomfiend, WAXXX and Bladewillisisdead

nancy_raygun
Grandma's House was a 2 season sitcom written and starring Simon Amstell (former host of Nevermind the Buzzcocks), based on his stand-up and his real relationships with his family. It got pretty horrible reviews, mostly because Simon Amstell is just an awful actor. But I liked it and I found the writing pretty clever. If you ever watch his stand-up specials you'll recognize a lot of the jokes. The show was so true to his life that he's said in interviews that some of his family won't speak to him anymore. I randomly came across it on netflix a few months ago, and instantly fell in love. IT Crowd is classic. (And to all those who pronounce IT as I.T., you're wrong.) Not comedy, but Broadchurch (also on Netflix) is a drama who-done-it that has great writing and acting. Two seasons, and I highly recommend it. Read an interview with the creator(s) that cleared it up. I'll see if I can find it. And yeah, it's decent length wise. I just wanted more. I got really invested and before I knew it, it was over in one sitting. Haha. But very, very good. The characters were so interesting and we'll written that I wanted more. I get the idea behind 'it' because it's a joke, but I've always said I.T. purely because when it was first on tv the voiceover for the ads / before it would come on would say it that way. As a result, whenever talking to anyone about it, had I or anyone else said the it crowd we would have been confused as everyone knew / knows it as the I.T. crowd. Somewhere along the line the creators stuffed up and didn't let the network know how they wanted it pronounced and now it's too late. TFP
Graham Norton has a fairly entertaining talk show on the BBC. His guests seem to have a lot of fun on the show. And if I can mention some dramas I agree with Dave Grohl that Broadchurch is great, they are filming the third and final season now. Fox in the US did their own version called Gracepoint, wasn't as good though. And if I could persuade anyone to watch Orphan Black I would be so happy, Tatiana Maslany is such an amazing actress playing multiple roles, it's crazy. Great storyline too. Orphan Black is exclusive to Amazon Prime streaming if you do not have the BBC or cable with OnDemand.
