backpackoat
Honestly I don't know the last time that pre-release singles have gotten me so excited for an album. This went from being a, "Oh cool, that should be good whenever it comes out" record to, "Holy shit this could be one of my best records of 2017." ejc625 and jonnystorm777

anchorclose
This record is going to be so good. I don't think I've pre-ordered a record in over a decade...but I pre-ordered this one last night. I'm very excited to hear it in its entirety. shamrocks
its really really good i wasnt sure what to expect based upon how i felt about the last couple of margot records and the directioni presumed this would go but it hits hard and is really consistent
shamrocks
from Richars FB Quote In one week, "Lemon cotton candy sunset" will be released (a very special someone will be premiering it a little earlier), but we've already begun shipping pre orders and you can still get yours before street date at whenlovegivesyoulemons.com In other surprise news, LUNA music in Indianapolis is selling it TODAY on both VIP swirl and pink and yellow variants! If that's not enough, the first 25 people to pick it up will receive a limited lathe cut vinyl. If you get in to Luna today to pick it up, send us a picture! Lots more coming next week. It's gonna be fun. as much as you guys hate newbury, I hate LUNA (edit: obviously for different reasons...more hate that I cant be there) Edited March 24, 2017 by shamrocks
ejc625
Some people already started receiving their VIP orders in the mail today. Checked the status of my order and it hasn't even shipped yet.

zdkaiser
I received my yellow/pink version today with the yellow flexi. You all will be very pleased. J. Noise and R. Edwards really went all out with this album. The pressing looks great. It's pressed at 45rpm (bonus!), comes in a thick gatefold with a lyric sheet that doubles as a poster, and the wav downloads are 24bit-96kHz. Those 24bit-96kHz files are just the icing on the cake. ejc625
Still waiting for my preorder to ship. Though I have been listening to the digital, and it's by far the best album this year. "Rollin' Rollin' Rollin' may be my favorite Richard Edwards of Margot track.

Yeah, I think "Lemon" into "Rollin..." is a fantastic one-two punch and in all honesty, the record doesnt really let up from the beginning. Im not crazy about "Lil Dead Eye-d" but the whole thing is excellent
ryantark
Very good album, beautiful. I find myself trying to match songs to previous albums, one sounds like Dust, another Rot, etc. Heck, parts of Management of Savagery sounds like a Get Up Kids song (I'll Catch You). I tend to enjoy the space on this album. Portions feel forced, especially some of the falsetto (Fool). I can't stop listening. Vinyl status: Unfulfilled VIP
chasingbreakers
Got my VIP order from Joyful Noise yesterday. As others have said, it's a really well constructed package and the lemon/cotton candy swirl looks great. I only gave it one run through, but the pressing sounds aces -- I think Richard's voice comes through more than on the digital files (where it felt a little buried in the mix), but that could just be my setup. Personal favorites off the record so far are Management of Savagery (which gives me an Animal vibe, from the ambiance and the presumed focus on cults) and Pornographic Teens. Moonwrapped is also incredible -- probably the most personal song he's ever written, and it feels like a beautiful dovetail into another chapter (and maybe the next record). ejc625
noise__floor
Did you guys get a shipping notification when they sent yours? I ordered the VIP from JN and the deluxe package from Richard and haven't received anything yet. I know I'm being impatient, but hearing you guys talk about the record is driving me crazy as an Edwards fan.

Showed up on MyUSPS right away once they created a label though. What does it say on your JNR order page?
ejc625
Yeah mine just shipped yesterday without any notification. I, too, realized it shipped thanks to a USPS notification. Something else I'm curious about. The VIP Edition from Joyful Noise states that it has some kind of "deluxe edition gatefold artwork". But now that it looks like all versions are gatefold, I wonder how (if at all) it's different. Edited March 29, 2017 by ejc625
