searos
I want So Long, Astoria so bad. Missed it so many times! I understand the lust for this. Hunted it for so long. Somehow my girlfriend found a used copy that was in great condition and played great for my birthday. If it ever gets repressed I am gonna get the repress and frame that copy because it is the coolest thing ever.

longgoneloser
1. Goo Goo Dolls test pressings (S/T, Jed, Hold Me Up. This band exposed me to independent music before they got famous and I adore these albums) Don't care what anyone says, the Goo Goo's may have written IRIS and made a shitload of cash but hell, they kick ass! They followed the pattern of the bands they worship: The Replacements, Husker Du and Soul Asylum. They started out punk and ended up melodic rock. The thing is, they wrote a pop song and made a fuck load of money due to it being in some shitty Meg Ryan movie. They made the decision of "Do we wanna do this forever or continue to make fuck all money and work shit jobs?" and good on 'em. I still think there are gold tunes on every album they have done. Franklin - Major Taylor (one of my all-time favorite songs -- they re-recorded this for their last album, but the 7-inch version is superior) Heisel actually got something right here. selfreliable
VC 2007 - Alkaline Trio, Against Me!, Fat Wreck, orgcore... VC 2012 - Hootie & the Blowfish, David Crowder, Panic at the Disco... ugh. Only one band (or grouping) is tolerable to me so I find both 2007 and 2012 VC taste laughable.
