lonesomexloveus
it's time for me to renew my policy with allstate in may, and the cost keeps going up and up, so i decided to check into some other companies. the only claim i've ever made in the 3 years of owning my car has been when someone hit it in a parking garage and fled the scene, and i have accident forgiveness so that shouldn't affect my rates at all. after checking around, it looks like i can get a policy for around $400 to $500 cheaper a year from any company other than allstate. for some reason, i can get a policy with a $250 collision deductible instead of a $500 one for 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of allstate. anyone have any good/bad experiences with any of these companies? roadmonkey
have esurance, so far it's been pretty damn good and cheap (Paying about $775 a year for my 1998 VW Jetta) Although I have no accidents or tickets or anything so that helps too
scotterson
My wife and I have Geico and have been super happy so far. They gave us the best rates when we were shopping, and we have roadside assistance which we have each had to use in the last year, and they have been great about it. kirbypuckett
Progressive. They give you $50 off for signing up online. I switch if I find a better deal. I've been on Geico before this, actually I've went Progressive - Geico - Progressive.

bdonald
My car and home are insured with The Hartford-AARP (http://aarp.thehartford.com). Being an AARP member gets me good rates and two claims have been handled quite well.

dntheman1
USAA is killer. I think they may have opened up (at least some) to non-military people. I'm working for Hanover Insurance this summer so I'm sure they're awesome. I think they go strictly through agents though.
