roadmonkey
Fav: Converge - Axe To Fall - Clear w/ Chards.. it just looks epic. Least Fav: No Idea's Purple Mix
deafmx
like: clear or translucent colored vinyl. black. not a fan of: opaque vinyl, white vinyl, any half solid/half clear color vinyl. hate!: picture discs! I'm also over splatter. I'll take a single, plain color usually. look cool but seems the most problematic for sound or inner groove distortion. arvidalex
I usually like splatters and swirls in any color combination... BUT my favorite is a cephalic carnage-confroming to abnormality on Translucent Neon green, looks AMAZING! I don't like whites Only have one from chromeo and it was a gift. I try my best to avoid these!
blueprintforjoy
Least Favorite is no idea purple mix! Yetch. ^haha same. i'm just a big fan of any kind of multiple color records - half and half, swirl, splatter. favorite in my possession is probably fifth hour hero - not revenge.... clear with rainbow splatter. it's just great. mrc
i dig the highlighter yellow, and clear gray like the last Dillinger four LP and vinyl with "planets" like the Torche 10" Splatter is pretty bad most of the time, and could do without the gray mixed no idea color. kyacrash
I think splatter on clear or colored clear looks awesome. I also really dig swirl. generally I prefer solid colors over clear though. my least favorite is definitely mixed recycled (that ugly purple shit)
clydethejackal
I'm really tired of "gold" as in, see through orange. I really like stuff with splatter of 2 or 3 colors.
mxv
I hate picture discs. I like every other color of vinyl though the no idea purple/gray is pretty ugly most of the time, though it is still more fun than plain black.
rue
Talking straight colours, I'm always disappointed to unwrap a red, it was so ubiquitous for a long-while (clear's kinda getting that way now) Always love a green though!
hipsterasfolk
I was really disappointed when I unwrapped my Katy Perry - Teenage Dream 2xLP the other day. The sleeve make me think that it was like a Peppermint Candy looking LP........nope it's just white :/ But also looking back I hate the clear goldish ones, looks like sewage runoff. hipsterasfolk
ahaha Katy Perry gatefold is hott! Way hotter than my Lady Gaga Picture Disc lol
plasma36
I think it's cool to have one or two super-clear records (for me it's Static Radio's "One for the Good Guys"), but it's kinda boring. Slightly opaque or with a little color looks awesome though. I've grown tired of most single-color translucent records, especially red and blue, which is odd because blue is my favorite color. I think splatter can look awesome, except for split color + splatter like that Alkaline Trio record. Almost always looks like crap.
allstar
Likes: Whatever is most limited Dislikes: Black (exception: when it is most limited) Hence why that heart shaped erg single sold out in black, before it did in red. But me personally, I like splatters if they colors are different enough that it doesn't turn out as some purply grey mess, or better yet anything pretty and out of the ordinary. And black if the colours are bleh / already sold out.

circlingvultures
I actually prefer black vinyl. Everything else is pretty whatever. Black always looks the best to me when I take it out of the sleeve. Classic. I hate picture discs and splatter. The new Melvins LP is disgusting looking. mclz
Splatter was cool in the 80s and 90s, but now it looks like crap most of the time.

The sticker says Cotton Candy scented! It does not smell anything like Cotton Candy though! Let's sue them for a 2nd press on Peppermint/Cotton Candy style LPs
deafmx
that would be awesome! and more pictures of Katy for the printed sleeves instead those sleeves were gross smelling, I didn't get a cotton candy impression at all.

moonbeams
As long as the record compliments the cover art, I like it. I like black vinyl when it goes nice with the art and has a suitable label. I think labels make the record. The ugliest record I have the is the Stranger Than Fiction on red because of the ugly green and red Atlantic label. I'm getting kind of tired of "color" vinyl on generic translucent red, orange, green, clear and blue. These are no different than a black or white record when they don't match the art. moonbeams
Favorite: anything swirled with blackLeast Favorite: clear orange aka gold + FUCKING PICTURE DISCS. I love clear orange/gold! I didn't like them when I used a white turntable. But when I upgraded to a black project debut with a ceramic platter, clear gold became the best looking record for me. The ceramic platter absorbs the light and the entire platter becomes gold over black.
