casey
I'm surprised Sound Stage Direct doesn't get mentioned here more often. Their LP Outlet section has some steals in it almost always.
harryq
I'm surprised Sound Stage Direct doesn't get mentioned here more often. Their LP Outlet section has some steals in it almost always. and they do a hella good job of packaging records
somethingvinyl
So, since Sound Stage Direct and Amazon have copies, this was repressed and nobody knew about it?
mcpherson123
^ Yeah, man. I don't think anyone knows at this point whether this was old stock found or a secret repress. At the very end of 2008 there was a thread here about how glacialpace.com had a bunch of Good News's available that a bunch people snagged. I was too late though.... and was so angry. At that time, I think that was old stock but now, it really seems like its most likely a repress which is a good sign because if last years Moon repress is any indication, that means we could be seeing LCW within a year! I'm surprised Sound Stage Direct doesn't get mentioned here more often. Their LP Outlet section has some steals in it almost always. The very first order I placed with them was in 2008 when I was searching for TMV Frances LPs and found it there. It was how I discovered the store existed. With in 24 hours of ordering it they sent me the Dear John letter about no longer having them in stock. Never ordered from them again til now. Not because I was pissed but because anything they had that I wanted I found a little cheaper somewhere else.
Japes
It was definitely repressed, it wasn't old stock. They repressed Moon & Antarctica and Fruit That Ate Itself as well.
weshallallbe
Yeah I'd have to check but I'm 99% sure the original press didn't come with a download code.
supafly
I spoke with someone at Soundstage. They said someone sent them a box. he thought it was old stock but he also said it was technically never out of print. So who knows what is going on
psychoriley
Yeah I asked if this is a repress...responded with: Hi Bill, I do not believe it is a repress. It still has the original date on the back so it is old stock. Let me know if you have anymore questions, Laurel
psychoriley
Just noticed they raised the price from 16.99 to 19.
seafoamgreen
I mentioned a while back that there were two pressings of this record. The second press came with a download code (which is now expired) and there was a sticker stating the inclusion of the code on the shrink. The Epic logo is different on the two pressings as well. If this is a new pressing, the download codes should be valid (the others expired in 2009 or something). Very interested to see what the deal with these is! casey
Just noticed they raised the price from 16.99 to 19.99 Oh that's classy.
somethingvinyl
This is a mystery. Logic says it's a repress. Amazon has it. I wonder if Sound Stage got an order of back stock from their distributor since there are orders for a new pressing?
mcpherson123
Looks like amazon is out of stock but SSD is holding strong at $19.99. SOOOOO glad I didn't miss this!
somethingvinyl
Couldn't avoid getting one. I would buy it when it's repressed anyway.
mattycakes
I bought one on Amazon yesterday when they showed they were in stock. Here's to hoping I don't get refunded....

jemsklile
I really think we're good with amazon, man. Don't fret. I hope so! My gf has amazon prime so I got free shipping on it. So basically...I paid less then ten bucks for the actual record. That would be an amazing deal.
scottheisel
Got one from Amazon the other day along with that sweet deal on NIN's The Slip. If it all goes through according to plan, that's two great records for under $20!
