What's your vinyl ''Holy Grail''?

Recommended Posts

If we're talking damn near impossible to find:

There have been a few other holy grails i.e. things you don't see commonly sold online at any price that I've been super fortunate to find from dudes off of here which is why I love this board so much.

I had that Joe Christmas tape at one point!

Find me these and I'll buy them in a minute.

The Cure - Close to Me 7" (US stock copy)

Deee-lite - Groove is in the Heart 7" (US "reissue" is the only US issue)

Weird Al Yankovic - Off the Deep End LP

First two are probably just scarce because they aren't worth much. The LP is crazy rare, though.

I swear I can find that Dee-Lite record. Let me get back to you on that.

Argyle Park - Misguided test pressing

Nothing was pressed beyond three test pressings.

I'm also really amazed that even three test pressings of this record exist. R.E.X. never put out vinyl did they?

Not as far as I know. EDIT: http://www.discogs.com/Circle-Of-Dust--Brainchild-Dissolved-Telltale-Crime/release/291036

Haha, nevermind, they did, I even own this.

Argyle Park pretty much ushered in the end of the R.E.X. and the genre in general though.
