Here's a really cool video showing the making of the new Preteen Zenith records that are coming out for RSD. They were made at the same plant that the Lips use, but this video is a lot cooler than the video they made:

Was just coming here to post that:

Preteen Zenith, the new band featuring Tim DeLaughter (The Polyphonic Spree) and Philip E Karnats (Secret Machines), will release an early, limited-edition vinyl version of its debut album, "Rubble Guts & BB Eye," for Record Store Day 2012 on April 21. The run of 2,000 copies of the album will be pressed on 180-gram, hand-thrown, colored swirl vinyl, each copy unique in its coloring and design, with one of five different silk-screened cover art prints signed and numbered by artist Nevada Hill. Each vinyl LP will also include a CD-R of the full album.

A trailer video for the Record Store Day release at http://vimeo.com/40075174 shows the making of the vinyl records, from cutting the master to coloring the vinyl to hand-stamping the tracklist on each sleeve. The trailer video also includes the full-length debut of a new track from the album, "Relief." Still images of the colored vinyl and different silk-screened sleeves are available at http://paradm.co/ptz-pr

That's actually pretty cool and I really dug the song in the video. Might actually try to score this one.

A split 7-inch between Now, Now and the Lonely Forest just got announced:

On April 21st Now, Now will celebrate Record Store Day with a Trans- Records 7" split featuring Now, Now's b-side "Shifting" and label mates The Lonely Forest's "Woe Is Me" as a limited edition 500 pressing. A full list of stores carrying the 7" (while supplies last) may be found HERE: http://nownowband.com/post/20119584208/fun-rsd

So want to go see Fun. Scott ;)

I don't know how a band goes from basement in Akron to House of Blues in less than a year! Very awesome though!

I seriously feel like I'm going to spend wayyyy too much money on RSD...

Anberlin - NTFP

Death Cab - Codes and Keys Remix

Michael Buble/Ray Charles - Georgia on my Mind 7"

Mae - The Everglow

Straylight Run - Straylight Run

Refused - TSoPTC

On top of that, PACD's told me they have the Pro-Ject Debut III in stock again... so there goes another $500. My wallet is seriously going to be pissed at me.

Haha, I got a kick outta what this prick wrote in his descriptions:

I have to get up very early, hire people to help me, drive great distances to acquire these records when they are released. For all my energies and investment, I do charge a premium. If you do not live near any independent record stores that are participating in Record Store Day, this is a great way to get the limited edition vinyl that will be release on Sat April 21, 2012. Please see my 100% positive feedback. Thank you!

LOL, hire people. Takes his flipping seriously. I really hope this ballbag isn't able to fill a lot of his orders.

Surprised $35 isn't the RSD retail price for a 7" this year.
