I am only just now listening to the first side, but my copy sounds just fine. Hopefully people can get a replacement. There are no labels, like reported, but it is etched, so not that cheapass. We have not even heard it yet, the good folks at Equal Vision were working on the release and we are waiting for our copies to arrive so we can hear them. andrewlucas Posted October 2, 2012 Share Posted October 2, 2012 I finally listened (on a Crosley) and it did sound like it was clipping at first but then I didn't really notice after the first song. The quality wasn't amazing, but either is the Crosley so I can't really say wether it was all bad or just some of it. Not my Crosley by the way... I'm listening again and it is pretty obviously a mastering issue. My guess is that people who claim their copies sound good have setups that cause all their records to have lots of sibilance and clipping so they can't tell the difference on this release. On any decent setup this would sound audibly crappy. I could be wrong. Don't get offended if you have a proper setup and your copy sounds fine. I tweeted at the band again today.
