JoeyZPD
Yeah, my copy had seam splits on the bottom as a result of poor packing.. Suck that we all waited forever, it finally shows up, and instead of being stoked as fuck, I was kind of bummed about that.. Oh well, not the end of the world. Derek™
I think it's pointless to bid with anything more than a minute left on the auction. So, not me. Not yet.

szimm98
I think it's pointless to bid with anything more than a minute left on the auction. So, not me. Not yet. This. I'll never understand why people will constantly outbid each other with days left in auction just driving up the price. Like amnstypls said, just snipe it out in the last minute with your highest offer.
fleshin2gear_7845
Got my shipping notification on the 10th... but my package is still in New Jersey... Probably won't see my copies till after Christmas. If the world ends tomorrow I'm totally placing a paypal claiming and getting my cash back Deathwish... Mine arrived yesterday but the tracking still says its in New Jersey
booyahachieved
Got my copies on green and 180g; both have dinged up corners. Comes with the territory when you order through the mail I suppose

philviral
Got my black copy last night! Only got to spin side A before I had to run out the door, but what I heard sounded great.
devils19901
So, uh, how does the record sound? I got one of my color copies, green, and it sounded amazing. I jammed through my stanton 681eee and a Marantz 2240 and it almost brought a tear to my eye it was so good. I actually think they get better as they keep going. imaxcowboyx
sorry root bear. you're going to lose. out of curiosity (and this really goes for ANYBODY who does this, not just this fellow), why do you feel it necessary to try to get a copy of the rarest variant the second these things start hitting the market? Give it a month or two and enjoy the copies you do have. The price will go down by A LOT. Guaranteed. Wait until the rush dies down, and save yourself $100+ jhook

imaxcowboyx
people are impatient and scared of the unknown by nature. true, i guess that sort of goes without saying (although you're absolutely right). I'm just curious if people had some other motivation. I think the most i've ever spent on a record (boxsets exlcuded) was for Mike Ness - Cheating At Solitaire for $35. I dunno, thrill of the hunt i suppose. You can get anything you want with enough money, that sort of takes the fun out of it for me.
jhook
I will never understand people dropping big bucks on variants of new records. I think its just me. I collect more older punk/hardcore. On a sidenote I have a sealed copy of this on cassette. It was offered to me for less then 1/10th the price of what it's pulling down on ebay. Looking to trade it for something cool. On yet another sidenote is this record really that good. I have never been a huge Converge fan. I sort of fell off after Jane Doe but to be honest I wasn't super into them then either. youspinmeround
I dont get the variant thing either. Its still the same record that was ment to be played. Isnt that why artists make music? I would rather own 5 different records than 5 copies of the same one. With that said, I understand that people like what they like, so good for them for collecting and supporting artists
konk
I couldn't tell you. I tried with ATF and then with this one. There's definitely some cool music, but I guess I haven't gotten them yet.

imaxcowboyx
Oh hey. It had been a long while since VC has had a "collecting multiple variants is dumb" discussion. definitely. i wasn't curious why people collect variants. they do, i dont. and i don't care either way. i was curious what the mindset was that created this fervent NEED for the rarest variant instantly. if you get it, badass. if not, give it a couple months; it'll save money and agony for sure, hah. I'll nab it in a year or two. but, there is another Converge heavy-hitter who is going to be bidding, and I'd rather see him win. plus, I enjoy talking shit. :-)
tre
DO NOT DROP TON OF LOOT ON THE CASSETTES ON EBAY PLEASE! WE HAVE SOME HERE AND THEY WILL BE GOING UP IN THE STORE AT SOME POINT AFTER THE PREORDERS ARE SHIPPED! PROBABLY AROUND THE SAME TIME THE REMAINING 180 GRAM LPs WILL BE PUT BACK IN INVENTORY!
