Sad Heart
Can we talk about songs that hit you right in the feels? Cause this is mine: Reasoning: I spent 8 years of my life with these guys, my friends. We toured all over the US, and even went to the UK. I met so many people through out the years, took thousands upon thousands of photos, have so many memories because of them. I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for this band. Not only did their lyrics always hit home, but I love this band so fucking much. Seeing my friends get up on stage and absolutely destroy the place whether it was at the local venue to a few hundred people, an out of town YMCA back in the early days, or a venue with thousands of people in support of Paramore in the UK. This song really sums up the history of this band, makes me look back on everything, and always gets to me. Damn. (I've been cleaning / sorting my HDD over the past week or so and it has gotten me reminiscing.) Here are some of my favorite photos of the band from those 8 years: Sadly, I think I am getting out of the photography game. My heart just isn't in it anymore. I really only started doing it to take photos of Conditions, and get into shows for free. After a while I started getting pretty good, getting published, booking tours / big gigs, branched out into weddings (nightmare), started taking band promos (to work on 'portraits'), but the music industry ironically killed my love. My love for music will never die. At least my photography expenses were channeled into records. That being said, I think I'm going to sell all my equipment. If you or anyone wants a loved Nikon D300 that has seen some good times, let me know. Have a bunch of equipment too of course. (I'm bored, so I felt like making a lengthy post.) aarondltd

Sad Heart
Oh, man, those are some damn good choices. Especially that Mountain Goats song. Caspian - Sycamore (The most beautiful thing I've ever heard.) Jimmy Eat World - 23 (In the feels like no other. This song makes my black heart hurt.) The White Stripes - I'm Lonely (But I Ain't Lonely Yet) (Tragic, and beautiful.) Beck - Turn Away (I don't know exactly what it is about this song, but it makes me want to close my eyes and slowly move my head.) Pretty much all Conditions songs. Youinreverse
The Antlers' album Hospice. This song in particular. If any of you haven't heard this album, you should look it up. It's incredible. There's a bear inside your stomachThe cub's been kicking from withinHe's loud, though without vocal chordsWe'll put an end to himWe'll make all the right appointmentsNo one ever has to knowAnd then tomorrow I'll turn 21We'll script another showWe'll play charades up in the ChelseaDrink champagne although you shouldn't beWe'll be blind and dumb until we fall asleepNone of our friends will comeThey dodge our callsAnd they have for quite a while nowIt's not a shockYou don't seem to mind and I just can't see howWe're too oldWe're not old, old at allJust too oldWe're not old, old at allThere's a bear inside your stomachThe cub's been kicking you for weeksAnd if this isn't all a dreamWell then we'll cut him from beneathWell we're not scared of making cavesOr finding food for him to eatWe're terrified of one anotherAnd terrified of what that meansBut we'll make only quick decisionsAnd you'll just keep my in the waiting roomAnd all the while I'll know we're fuckedAnd not getting unfucked soonWhen we get home we're bigger strangers than we've ever been beforeYou sit in front of snowy television, suitcase on the floorWe're too oldWe're not old, old at allJust too oldWe're not old, old at allJust too oldWe're not old, old at allJust too oldWe're not old, old at allJust too oldWe're not old, old at allJust too oldWe're not old, old, old, old at all

Sad Heart
I would be moronic not to include Something In The Way. Everything from Unplugged for that matter. There's just something about hearing those songs acoustically that just fucking kills me in the best way, and hurt so much more than the studio versions. aarondltd
