Has anyone actually bought the standard double? Just doesn't make any sense to purchase imo. For a buck more, we have to get something cool. kjkenney Posted April 9, 2013 Share Posted April 9, 2013 I have high hopes for this. maybe too high...I remember when Little Sister came out as the single for Lullabies and I thought "well 3 albums of stellar material was a good run, but this is where it ends.", but now Lullabies melts my face every time I listen to it. This single being the song in the middle of the album, it could go either way, but if this is the "worst" song on the album, then I'm sure it'll be kick ass. Era Vulgaris was crummy and didn't get any better. With Grohl back on drums seems like eveyone perked up hoping for another SFTD. The single isn't doing much for me, but I like it fine. We'll see what happens. I'll pre-order anyway but am trying to dial back the expectations. If this is the worst song, I'll be happy too. Edit - Also, I never get all the hate for Era Vulgaris. Sure, it's their weakest album overall but it's still better than most garbage that gets churned out.
