mrewest
Thread title says it all. My best trade ammo is a HRVRD coin flip to anyone interested (plus $$ obviously).

lehooch
I failed to find one today as well, there's already 32/500 up on eBay. I hate people sometimes.
mrewest
Yeah I've made an offer for $80 & $100 to someone. SHOCKINGLY, both got declined.

David The Gnome
Yeah I've made an offer for $80 & $100 to someone. SHOCKINGLY, both got declined. I heard that in some places, this sold for $150. It'd be nice if RSD releases had set prices.
mrewest
I heard that too which is ridiculous when retail was $60. I thought flipping was limited to the intrawebs.

filthyrich
Our store held a silent auction for the one copy, with proceeds going to the Men's Homeless Shelter. Second bid was $300.... AND... That was pretty much the end there. youspinmeround

filthyrich
I would say so. The owner's legit... He hates eBay. I'm 99% sure he's gonna donate anything over the list price to the shelter.
mrewest
Nothing wrong with it selling for that much if it's going to a good cause.
mrewest
I counted over 50 of these on ebay just now. SMH.
isellblankets
sorry if this is random but i'm just curious... is there a good reason why there would only be 500 of these for a band as big as DMB?

And it looked like there was maybe a 50 under it that was scribbled over.

Plarocks
Word on the street is that DMB will be pressing more on black vinyl. Makes sense as, why would you only make 500 copies of a release from a band that has such a huge following? It is to get the fans overpaying and talking about it on the web. Then DMB can get quickly $100 a box once he presses up few extra thousand. As long as you are willing to buy another color press, I predict you should get a copy eventually. Personally, I really dislike the behavior of DMB's management and marketing team. I have exchanged cross words with them in the past. I still like the music though, so I will buy his records as long as I don't have to jump through too many hoops to get them. Hope you can find one. Don't overpay for it though! atticus
Good luck man.. I got the only copy at my store and had to take a deep breath when it was marked for $96 when other list prices I based my budget around had it listed for 60-65ish. It does disgust me that around 75 copies have been/are being sold on eBay.
mrewest
Yeah these in store markups I'm hearing about are ridiculous. I just offered $100 to someone on ebay. Got a counter of $560. I countered that with $1 aaaaand now we're done lol.
