donlombardo
Name some bands who have b-sides you find better than their albums/a particular album! Or just bands who have great b-sides. Also, if you make own b-side compilations/mixtapes that you think are awesome - please post tracklists! I'm gonna post tracklists to some I've made that I find awesome. Or just talk b-sides. jase
The living end! Their very early stuff. Pre-album kind of stuff. It was all amazing. They released an EP called it's for your own good(not to be confused with their compilation of the same name). And the bside on that was English army. It's so fucking good. They've also got a song called uncle Harry. Many many song along a to that have been had. And in keeping with the Aussie bands. Bodyjar. By far their best full length was no touch red. It was originally released on cd with an entire cd full of bsides. That disc in itself is better than anything they have released since. donlombardo
I have an EP by Bodyjar with the cover of Hazy Shade Of Winter by Simon & Garfunkel. It's really, really good.
brandy
Red Hot Chili Peppers have some really awesome b-sides. The first 4 videos I posted below were made by this guy, who makes really awesome videos for RHCP and John Frusciante songs (seriously, check it out!): http://www.youtube.com/user/FruscianteWorld?feature=watch Quixoticelixir: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jMIlQdbWIo The Bicycle Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDPuyKbEvLE Whatever We Want: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icXRJ3zMqks Rolling Sly Stone (technically not a b-side, but an awesome cover nonetheless): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Doy20_RHH9w Sikamikanico: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Is7qyVWeaUk Save The Population: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvjGrWERM1U

Snaggle Von Swift
"English Army" is easily one of my favorite The Living End songs another B-Side that comes to mind is The Get Up Kids "Send Us A Saint"

billya
Red Hot Chili Peppers have some really awesome b-sides. Agreed. The ones you listed, plus Soul to Squeeze! Gaslight Anthem has two gems that are b-sides - She Loves You & Blue Dahlia. Also, Losten by Glassjaw is beautiful.

Snaggle Von Swift
I love "Blue Dahlia" - but it bugs me as a b-side. Should have taken the place of "National Anthem" on the album.

Should have taken the place of "National Anthem" on the album. I love it, but I don't know that it fit the tone of the album. The last songs on that album (from Howl on) are seamless. Just my opinion. I think it stands as one of their better songs and I am glad that the band has played Blue Dahlia at every post-Handwritten show that I have been to, though. donlombardo
Thanks for Blue Dahlia, the song is better than most on Handwritten! I recently made a compilation with only b-side/split tracks by Dan of Alkaline Trio: 1. My Standard Break From Life 2. Kick Rocks 3. Hating Every Minute 4. Those Lungs 5. We Can Never Break Up 6. If You Had A Bad Time 7. Buried 8. Burned Is The House 9. Don't Say You Won't 10. In My Stomach It's super awesome. Try it!

billya
Damn, how could I have forgotten Soul To Squeeze! One of my favourite Chili Pepper songs! Mine too. It is weird to think of it as a b-side, though since it has a music video and everything. Such a solid song.
brandy
Yea, I guess it having a music video and being a rather popular song made me not think of it as a b-side...

radiatorhums
Those Yuck b-sides they packaged with the reissue of their first album were just as good as the album tracks.
FangsAnalSatan
I always thought the Flatliners' b-sides are great. Cut Your Teeth, Christ Punchers, Sticky Bastards and This Song Is Like Thunder And Lightning In a Wide Open Field.
RivannaJunction
Cool, nothing more? Only other things I can think of are Brian/Gaslight covers from radio/promotional settings i.e. Atlantic City, Nine Crimes, Hallelujah, Come Together, I Do Not Hook Up, The Weight, Left of the Dial, Cold Cold Ground, Backstreets and Whiskey in the Jar. I kind of stopped following up on this stuff a few years ago so there could be more. I'm not an expert.
StrangeTerrain
Circa Survive always has pretty good b-sides. Most dangerous commercials, 1000 witnesses, airplane dance, the entire appendage ep. they have a lot of good stuff
