I was thinking each of us should post 2 albums from 2013, one that can be found on Spotify, & one that can be found on Bandcamp (or 1 band that can be found on both), for someone to check out. The idea being that random people can check out a random album they have no preconceived notion about, in hopes that someone will find something new they like. I was thinking we can quote the suggestion we're going to check out, along with posting a suggestion of his or her own. Once you listen to the album, you can edit your post to include your thoughts on what you listened to. I'd say don't even post a "RIYL (Recommemded If You Like)" or list the genre of the band you suggest. I think it would be cool to just go into it completely blind. Obviously if you get a few seconds in & it's something you hate, you can post about it & move on. & if this idea sucks, flame away & we can just move on haha. But, here are my two... I'm not going to say what type of music it is so you'll just have to see for yourself These guys are from Amarillo, TX and live just a few hours away from my small town.
