deletedunknown
Maybe my reading comprehension is terrible, but they say they recorded new songs. There's only one new song. Does this mean every song is a new recording of the songs? If so, I'd be down for that. If not, this falls into my general dislike of greatest hit collections with one new song. Plus I'm guessing box set means this could be an overpriced 6 12" or 7" singles set, which would also be butts. I want more deets.
bgdesign
I's understand a boxset. Not a singles collection. No need for a greatest hits unless you are done making them. I do love this band though.
jhulud
Curious to see what this vinyl box set will entail. andrewlucas
andrewlucas
I just like box sets. Haha. (Except that Metric box set pissed me off.)
pushbacktosquare
If this ends up being a 7" box set, I'm hoping that it's more than just those 11 songs. My guess is that each song will have its own 7". Then the b-sides of the 7" will be live tracks or unreleased tracks from that corresponding era. That's how the Coldplay Singles Box Set is and it's fantastic.
troymess
Looking forward to this. I always enjoy anything Silversun...
andrewlucas
Well its 11 tracks so that kind of rules out it being 2 songs per 7". That would be cool if it were like the coldplay box set with the live tracks, or like how the Metric box set was suppose to be with the remix version on the B side. However, I feel like they would have gave us a bigger track listing if that were the case. Maybe it will just be one song per single sided 7". We really do need more info... dreamover
This is dumb, they're an album band not a singles band. They know it too. This is obviously just to get out of their dangerbird contract. Derek™
tvham
Anyone know if they hate the song Future Foe Scenarios? It's always been one of my favorites but the past couple of times I've seen them live they haven't played it plus it's not on this set.... pushbacktosquare
Last time I saw them play that was at the Glasshouse in 2008 / 2009? Can't remember when that show was.
mcpherson123
Not really a hit making singles band. This seems kind of stupid to me but I couldn't even listen to the last album. Carnavas is great though. Swoon is good.
backpackoat
Love love love Silversun Pickups but I hope they go back to Carnavas/Swoon sound for whenever their next record is, Neck of the Woods was not nearly as good as those two. Cannibal is alright.
andrewlucas
I listen to Neck of The Woods way more than I listen to the other albums. They have changed their sound a little since Carnavas but I like it.
emokid9963
So it looks like a six-disc 7" box set. With the new song "Cannibal" and B-Side "Devil's Cup". And preorder is January 7th.
combatwaffle
Not really a hit making singles band. This seems kind of stupid to me but I couldn't even listen to the last album. Carnavas is great though. Swoon is good. I feel the exact same. They used to be one of my favorite bands but after Neck of the Woods, I hardly listen to them. Are you saying that NOTW managed to directly interfere with your ability to enjoy their previous records? throwgncpr

DarthBobul
Not really a big fan of the 7 inch box set in general. Seems very clear cut to be a $$$ move. But for those that are into collecting or are a completest I'm sure this will be very well done. I do want those two new tracks however. Wish this was released as an LP or double LP. andrewlucas
I have faith that it will be a cool set. They have been pretty good with vinyl packaging so far.
