Saw they had the Simpsons mini-figures at Walmart so I grabbed 3 of them. I could 100% tell which ones had Marge in them (the hair of course), but other than that I found it difficult to tell who was who. I didn't want Marge so I grabbed 3 that I could tell she wasn't in.

Ended up with Lisa, Apu, and Maggie.

Don't really care about having either Lisa or Maggie, so if anyone happens to get any doubles of literally, anyone else, and wants to trade for either of them, I'd totally be down.

One of my interns works at a Lego Store. My kid is obsessed with Lego Star Wars. a 50% off discount and a propensity to go overboard has left me with 14 sets for my kid. Dad of the year, right?

In terms of Father's Day: I don't need anything ever again. Two years ago I was declared "World's #1 Dad" via a mug I received. I am still proud that it took a mere two years for me to reach #1 in the World Dad Rankings.

Being "World's #1 Dad" wasn't enough...you had to go for "Dad of the Year" too?

Come on Dave.

I guess I shouldn't be getting points for providing superficial material items. I am stoked however that my 4 year old is getting good at building and will choose Legos over TV at this point. I know they are a mass marketed item but in a world where it's near impossible to avoid commercialism as well as consumerism I will take the creative toy over the other options pretty much any day.

Not to mention they are really rad and I love building them.

Anyone on here big Star Wars Lego fans? I have the giant R2D2, which he asked for two months. He woke up each morning saying "Dad, I want giant R2D2 for my birthday." Then he said the same before bed. So like an idiot I bought a huge set to build with a four year old who a month ago realized how awesome the smaller sets are and no longer wants it because he wants "The circle ship the whirls around and the guys head comes off." I don't know what the decapitation is all about but the rest makes perfect sense. Sooooooo....if anyone is way into Lego Star Wars and is interested in a giant R2D2 at a heavy discount from retail then hit me up. I think I'd like to sell it off rather than hold onto it. If you know what I'm referring to then you know how expensive this damn thing is.

Any of you build the Simpsons House yet? I finally saw it in person a couple weeks back and it's better than the pictures. I really want to do it but I blew way too much on my kid.

I bought it and built it. It's really really cool up close in person. The detail is fantastic. Totally worth the price.

If I hadn't bought the 2500 piece Imperial shuttle last weekend, I'd be all over this.
