Finally listened to this album. I've been a fan of the band since Deja came out. Every time they release a new album I'm shocked with how different is sounds than the previous ones, but am impressed. But unfortunately this one does nothing for me. Had a hard time even getting through it I was so bored. I will never choose this album when I'm in the mood to listen to Brand New.

The last line in the song is "God is Love".  I'm not going to deep dive on it too much because I'm no expert in every lyrics of Brand New's and I don't have the time atm to dig into each - but over the past couple of releases Jesse has made it clear that he has issues with the Roman Catholic/Judeo-Christian upbringing he had and how he was taught to understand and deal with God. There has been a ton of lyrics over those releases rejecting the ideas of the bible, or fearing God, or God/Jesus doing these miraculous things but also hinting towards some acceptance of the IDEA of a 'God'.  
 
My guess is they wrote a song because they hate how the bible-thumping demographic uses God to preach fear/hate - where they/he sees God as love. OR - the last line is 'God is Love' is still from the point of view of the "righteous" father and it's further pointing out how categorically contradictory his ideals are.

I can't pretend to know what was really going on during the writing process, but these feelings have been hinted at pretty heavily over the past 4 releases. Just my 2 cents.

I'm blatantly biased towards this band as they've been one of my favorite bands since I can even remember. Loved the "Racists" song but this one, I don't know about. The effects on Justin's voice are weird and unnecessary. 
 
On another note,  Went to Warped about a month ago and my girlfriend who is battling breast cancer got hooked up with the Living The Dream Foundation and we got all access passes and got to meet and hang out with Antiflag. Had the honor of watching them from the stage and it was incredible.

Glad I'm not the only one. Yeah it seemed over repetitious for meaning almost nothing, and a little too poppy with all the background wooing. Sounds like they're going for a more radio friendly "Rise Against" kinda sound. Which isn't bad, but I hope every song isn't like that. I also realized that the album was produced by Good Charlotte's Benji Madden, which I hope doesn't mean much. Their albums do not hold up well at all these days IMO.

Oh i agree. I'm just saying it's shitty from square one. Pot calling the kettle black and all that. Im sure the band would be thrilled to hear he at least asked to not leak the leak. Whatever, I have no cards in this, just saying its kind of rich is all. Flame on.

I think it would be easier to just wait until someone has said "Received my replacement jacket!" rather than bump the thread three days after other people complained about not yet receiving their replacement jackets.  Someone will surely post pictures of their new pristine jacket or their jacket covered in piss stains from the Sandbag customer service reps (which were likely deserved, based on the last dozen or so pages of this thread).

Well, I've made my stink about it so I'm not gonna raise anymore. I'm glad a portion of you on here are enjoying it. I just feel that if you are going to have books, I think you could have talked/shown a bit more about how the town has been doing these past 25 years instead of small glimpses/references and then we're taken somewhere else which honestly seems to do nothing besides spread out the cast at this point in the show. This show is definitely for the hardcore Lynch fan who is happy for the ride. And I love some good Lynch too but I'm getting nothing out of this work compared to his previous works. The approach, style, editing, and script (if there is a long one or not) that he did for this season just doesn't seem that great. I don't need stuff to be spelled out to me but also don't try and make me feel trolled with long ass broom-sweeping scenes, repeating scenes almost shot by shot, characters staring at something for a good 5 minutes with no dialogue that's not in the Lodges, and make the claim that's it's good 'art or smart commentary on the patience of mainstream audiences'.  As mentioned before, there are more avant-garde directors out there now and Lynch doesn't feel like he's bringing it. And yet, I'm gonna keep watching because of the long wait we have had for this. But I'm not gonna say this tops FWWM or S1 and early/late episodes of S2. But at least the music is owning, amirite?
