My favorite Ohio anecdote of all time is this: I was driving cross country with my at the time girlfriend, east to west coast. We drove straight through the middle of the country because why the fuck not, right? We're going through West Virginia (gross) and we get to the Ohio border and stop at literally the first place we see to use the bathroom. I walk in the door to this gas station bathroom and the first thing I see, not written huge or angrily - just kind of small and matter of fact, "West Virginia fucking sucks." I've chuckles to myself every time I've thought about that for the last 12 years. "Ohio: at least it's better than WV," will forever be their motto to me.

Good old FedEx. 3 different times from different shops I had something ship from a city that was 40 minutes away and it would travel to Northern California to Nevada, to 2-3 different east coast states, back to Nevada and then finally to Southern California. 2 weeks to go from Los Angeles to Orange County. When I called they said if their distribution center is full then it gets transferred to the next closest. Seems like a very inefficient system and makes sense to why costs are so high.

Anyone have any suggestions I can pass along to maybe improve the process? Like how you can “skip” with VMP and get credit, instead of having to cancel, and later rejoin and possibly losing your spot? Maybe just a skip/pause feature. Also here are some photos of the Eminem release:

This has to be the overstatement of the year. I'm in tons of boards and lots of Facebook groups and have literally never heard of this band until you dropped them in this thread. I just checked them out. Sounds like pretty good post-rock, so thanks for introducing them.

They did a zine with each release. Sometimes the zine even held up shipping and caused delays they were constantly doing BOGO sales and I always wondered how that was viable. they sent out an email recently saying they were shifting distribution but outstanding orders WOULD be fulfilled. Should have seen this coming though when they pulled all inventory off the site. I will say, the releases I got from them were very nice though. Big rips.

Same. They seemed to have insane web coupons active at all times, so I’m only getting stung for like $18 and change after shipping. Still super annoying though, and I feel for anyone who has funds tied up. What a shit-show.
