I've literally never paid that much for a new record. That is not the norm, and I highly doubt everyone will just bite the bullet without complaining.
Also, I think you and mutemath are definitely over-estimating their relevance. Any band that sees this and thinks they can also sell records for $75 are morons.

I cannot think of one $60 double LP that stayed $60, but I can think of tons of 180 gram, tip-on-sleeve, premium LP's that were under $30.

It's stupid that this needs to be discussed in any way...$75 for a 2xLP is ridiculous and criminal! That's all to say.
That she took her time (probably calculated the hourly costs for her posts on top of all other costs for the record) and tried to explain how they came up with (a fictional numer) was nice...but it totally backfired because the argumentation (see all the posts above) is just plain stupid!

I recorded the whole show from the balcony with a condenser mic. It sounds pretty good but that room always comes out boomy. I'll try to clean it up a bit and post it soon.
