Regardless of how anyone feels about killing babies, how does this differ than basically refusing refugees who were already approved to enter the US, leaving them to die. If you want to say that fetuses have the right to life fine, then you do that, but how can you also deny the right to life of other living humans who have not done anything wrong other than literally share a religion with one billion other people, a tiny handful of which are extremists.

Recent studies show illegegal immigrants pay something like 11 billion a year in taxes. Similar studies show our president pays $0 in taxes every year. So who is stealing from us?

That's the kind of thinking that can lead to allowing some scary shit. Legal or not, these are still human beings and they deserve human rights. By making these lists Trump is heading a propoganda campaign to dehumanize them. How is that anything but fucked up?  "First they came for..." and all of that. It's a slippery slope once you decide one group of people are less than human.

Wonder if this has anything to do with reissues?

With the AT, you're paying  for features and engineering that don't actually add to the quality of the sound (pitch control, electronic speed change, built-in pre-amp, etc.) Jump up to the entry-level Regas/Pro-Jects/etc and those features are stripped out in favor of build & design improvements that actually lead to better sound.
