PO NOW: Earl Sweatshirt - Feet of Clay
rabbitvinyl replied to RockPuppetz's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Mavi is the best part of this release. That track is just too good. Also, tan pre-order sold out! Black still seems to be available.- 9 replies

Anybody want my copy of the /250 red splatter? I'll trade for a COVID-19 vaccine. -
That video is absolutely atrocious but the track's alright. I feel like he's lost a lot of his classic cynicism and he brings out a lot more cliches lately, but the production reminds me of some of my favourite stuff off the first two albums. There's an interesting mix of features on the track list too! Either way, nice to have some new stuff by Skinner in these weird times.

This album is quite lovely. Incredibly simple, but I like it a lot more than her previous efforts. -

King Krule - Man Alive! (2/21)
rabbitvinyl replied to museummouth's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Just finished the first listen through. The album slaps. I like it better than The Ooz, but I think that's because this one is a lot more concise and doesn't seem to drag. I get why he did it with the Ooz, but this one is much more digestible in one sitting. Highlights: Comet Face, Slinky, Airport Antenatal Airplane, Theme for the Cross and Energy Fleets. I like the more relaxed stuff. -
King Krule - Man Alive! (2/21)
rabbitvinyl replied to museummouth's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I guess this one's about his ex-lover from Barcelona. Crazy to think many of the songs on Ooz were about that, and now not so long after he's got a kid and a girlfriend. Life comes at you fast, man. Anyway, great song. The bass line is chunky as hell and I like the overall energy on this one a lot. I do wish he would add more drums to his studio recordings, because the guy who drums for his live shows is incredible. Easy Easy with drums is phenomenal. Excited for Friday! -

I don't know why but I'm so excited for this record. I haven't listened to a lot of this kinda stuff in recent years, but it takes me right back to the "glory days". Ordered a splatter bundle as soon as I saw the news! They seem like really nice guys, as well. Looking forward to the day they make it across the border. Also, hyped that there's an Eames LCW on the cover. -
New Bright Eyes Album 2020
rabbitvinyl replied to CatsNJazz's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Yeah, they really do sound great! And they look pretty too. Would recommend to anyone who's a fan of the band. I only had Conor's solo albums, because most of the Bright Eyes albums are/were fuuuuuucking expensive here. So it was either I paid ~$40-50 per album, or just plunk down $175 on the set. -
New Bright Eyes Album 2020

I just bought the boxset before Christmas. Figured it was a healthy decision for my first holidays alone in seven years. Somehow turned out to be a great decision, and I was even more happy to hear this news yesterday! Can't wait to hear what they come up with. -

I don't have a cat because I'm allergic. But, this is really nice of you! -
Got these in today, they look amazing. But...is anyone else's copy of How Strange, Innocence just two dark blue records? Barely any splatter or colour mix. I thought it was one dark, one light blue but I guess I misunderstood the description. Either way, super happy to finally have these in my collection!

PO: Oso Oso - Basking in the Glow (8/16)
rabbitvinyl replied to dapeebs's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Man, I can't imagine the feeling of receiving that designation. No matter your opinion of Pitchfork, it must feel great. Good for him! The album has some real highlights, as someone who only ever dabbled with his previous stuff. It's a lot more "pop" than before, but I think it works well here. -

What? That is fucked. Send it to them. -
I have an OG copy of this that I found years ago at a local shop, so I can't justify buying it. But the rework track by Kronos Quartet is really lovely! I commented on their post for this announcement asking them to reissue "Finally We Are No One" and they said it sadly wasn't up to them. Someone also left a comment on the album's Discogs page saying FatCat has confirmed there will be a reissue in 2019, but that's been said before and nothing ever happens. Crossing my fingers, toes, arms, legs and balls for it to be true.

I absolutely loved these guys when I was in high school. Their live shows were always so fun and full of energy (especially considering there was only two of them). I remember seeing them open for the Arctic Monkeys, and fully enjoying their set more than AM. I'm still salty that AM didn't play an encore. Anyway, this album was huge for me. I saw them countless other times after the AM show, and I was always trying to get my friends to listen to them. It's too bad this is in GBP though, because with shipping and exchange rates it's way too costly for a single LP
