I just bought the boxset before Christmas. Figured it was a healthy decision for my first holidays alone in seven years. Somehow turned out to be a great decision, and I was even more happy to hear this news yesterday!

Can't wait to hear what they come up with.

Yeah, they really do sound great! And they look pretty too. Would recommend to anyone who's a fan of the band.

I only had Conor's solo albums, because most of the Bright Eyes albums are/were fuuuuuucking expensive here. So it was either I paid ~$40-50 per album, or just plunk down $175 on the set.

I love you for this. It's been ages since I've been meaning to pick this up! Boomkat's shipping rates are incredible too. THANK YOU!

Because you asked your first question in a way that made it seem like you were having trouble getting ahold of a copy of this.
They were trying to help you out, and your response came off pretty harsh at first read.

You're coming off as super combative in all your responses, even this one. Maybe take a minute and re-read your responses with no intonation in your head and try to think how it could come off to people reading then before you hit submit. It's something I've started having to do because I often come across as much more of an ass on here than I'm trying to be.

Dude, Brody has only gotten hotter with age. I saw them live last year and loved every second of it.

I absolutely loved these guys when I was in high school. Their live shows were always so fun and full of energy (especially considering there was only two of them).  I remember seeing them open for the Arctic Monkeys, and fully enjoying their set more than AM. I'm still salty that AM didn't play an encore.

Anyway, this album was huge for me. I saw them countless other times after the AM show, and I was always trying to get my friends to listen to them. It's too bad this is in GBP though, because with shipping and exchange rates it's way too costly for a single LP

Thanks for sharing this! Antiphon was recommended to me by a friend who's really into jazz, and it quickly became one of my favourite albums in recent memory. Love the addition of the conversations and how he structured the songs around them. It reminds me of Charles Spearin's "Happiness Project", which I would recommend to anyone who's already a fan of the Broken Social Scene/Do Make Say Think catalogues. A beautiful record that flew mostly under the radar here in Canada.

But yeah, I'm happy to hear there will be a pressing for this release right off the bat! The preview track on Bandcamp sounds great too.

Not sure how many followers there are here, but the pre-order for his new album is up on his site and other UK distros - Piccadilly, Rough Trade, etc.

No info on pressing amount or variants at the moment.

In an interview with the Edge 102.1 in Toronto, George and Dallas mentioned that there are no plans for an album or EP at this time - just the few shows in the summer. But they do say that there are a few songs in the works, and that there's a possibility of them just "dripping" singles out once in a while like Drake.

They seem like they're happy with the freedom that streaming platforms provide artists nowadays. And Dallas talks about how he has the keys to a recording space so they just go and jam/write whenever they feel like it.

Nah, I'm with you on this. Though I enjoyed some of the songs on Total Life Forever, the rest of their stuff just hasn't clicked with me. My girlfriend is the complete opposite. She loves everything post-TLF. It's very strange.

The new single is decent, but nothing special. At least the video is beautifully shot.  Some of those colours and locations were phenomenal.

Probably an unpopular opinion but to this day I still can’t get into anything by Foals outside of Antidotes, which I listened to a week ago and still enjoy immensely.  The new single seems like it will continue that trend which is a bit of a bummer.  I will go on record as saying that the new album’s art is really sweet, though, and that the boxset variant looks like a classy match to it.

Same here. I just can't justify the shipping costs anymore. A local store usually has a pretty decent selection of Erased Tapes' stuff, so hopefully it'll be there soon enough.

Tfw when your attempt at rationalizing your boy's needless, snarklord-because-insecure-af replies is garbage bc it's an essay long reoly and your only argument is "he's funny" and "others are piling in, too" (as if no adults has ever replied with "...and if they all jumped off a hill would you follow them, too?" when you've used that excuse) while lowkey admitting his demeanour is not copacetic whereas Steven has to comply to your bizzarely specific alternate-reality version of events to avoid being mocked??? I would think an expert on social ineptness would avoid obvious quicksand like that, hombre.

Keep mocking his age btw. That's being a paragon of classy awesomeness right thurr. Something something stones glass houses.

If you're reading this Topshelf.... 3 single LPs to Canada should not cost $37.50 shipping.  Sadly, I just can't order from you guys any more.

Only 1 LP and no 7" with Little Thoughts? That sucks for anyone who doesn't have a copy of the older pressings.

Thankfully I got my hands on the last repress. I was surprised to see they're still going for a hefty amount on Discogs. But this album is worth it. It's so damn good.

I don't know but the only ones I've seen in the wild were used copies of Mr. Beast and Hawk is Howling, the former here in Montreal and the latter in Toronto. I bought both because I had never seen them elsewhere (new or used). I've never seen a copy of Happy Songs anywhere in Canada, so I'm happy to hear about this re-press.

I dont recall seeing any information regarding this, but I randomly checked Erased Tapes and they now have non box-set black copies of 1+1=X for 30 pounds. Going to see if my local shop can snag me one. Also new Michael Price!

Simple, but they didn't look so cheap. Something About Airplanes had a die-cut cover, and the Photo Album had beautiful packaging overall that fit well with the theme of the album.
This one looks like a shitty Instagram ad. The 3D effect to the typeface is dated, and the gradient in the "Thank you for today" lettering is just...bad.

The extra LP it comes with is phenomenal. I liked it better than the actual record (All Melody), but I prefer his softer, melody-driven piano tracks.
