Freki reacted to The Vool in PO NOW: Elder - Reflections of A Floating World 2XLP [Stickman/Armageddon Label] [6/2/17]
I've listened to this record every single day since its release...probably found my AOTY already!

I also strongly dislike it when cables are showing, so I went through pretty much the same thought process as you when we built our house.
As I wasn't entirely sure where my speakers/amp would end up later on, putting speaker cables under the wood never really was a possibility, but personally I feel as though that might just be an overkill and overthinking it.
I ended up have a conduit for the cables cut into the baseboards, works perfect for me, and is a pretty easy solution. I also don't think that a cable run of 20' should pose any problem at all. If I want to switch out the cables later on, it will take less than a minute to do it. Hope this helps.

I think this is a great idea, but i would definitely go the route of making it serviceable. So many people do not think of those things when doing this type of stuff. Spring for some really heavy duty coated wire too, something made for outdoors would be great since they can stand up to moisture and the like. A sleeve, like a piece of pvc, to house the wire would be nice so new wire can be fished through super easily if ever necessary, but that might up the ugliness factor. I do irrigation for a living and I've lost count of how many times builders pour concrete over pipes without thinking about the future need of being able to service it. It may be years before you need to repair any wires, but come that time it will make all the difference in the world. Like the difference of just needing a 25 cent splice for the wire over the need of new flooring in areas after ripping it up to access it lol.

Just like the last Salem's Pot 'artwork' – a lazy cop-out all around. Plenty of artists would jump on a gig like that even for minimal pay. I'll just have Spotify hold me over until I can pick up a tour copy.

Too obvious this time, tug. I think maybe too much thought went into this one. If the troll doesn't feel natural then what's the point?

Freki reacted to fish in Chris Cornell (1964-2017)
Also the show ended around 11:15 and reports said that they found him around midnight. So that is a pretty small window for her to get that worried if there were no signs of something being wrong. So crazy that it all happened that fast. Tragic all around. Here's a couple pics from last night. I try not to be the dick taking pictures all show but I'm glad i got a few.

Just, just fuck everything. I usually don't get so worked up over deaths in the music industry, due to what people go through in the industry it's unfortunately expected, but this, no. This is so unexpected. His was so young, and this was so sudden. Man, I don't even know how to interpret this. Badmotorfinger is in my top 10 favorite albums of all time, and absolutely love everything Chris touched. This is a rough one. Thoughts go out to his family and loved ones.

Sunday was the 4th time I've seen them and I think it was also the best time I've seen them. They're rolling through here (Seattle) in the next month or two and I'm planning on seeing them again.

I thought so!
For the record, David was a super cool dude and let me hang out and just shoot the shit with him for like an hour in his studio and told me about a psyche show coming up from this Japanese band Kikagaku Moyo, who I'd never heard of. I even got to see some in process stuff, and original sketches which was extra cool!
I'll let you guys know how Conan is live later on. (I'm sure they're going to be stellar)

Thoughts on the new WITTR song they released on their Euro tour? I can't wait for the new album I'm assuming is coming at the end of the year!

If you're into the *gaze thing then you should check out the new records by Violet Cold and Heretoir. Both are exceptional.

Meh. That's not the same font. And there are plenty of typefaces of that style, Deafheaven doesn't own it. So I guess the real crime is stacking the letters like she did. Probably because she thought she could sway some blackgaze fans to her sweet, mellow, singer-songwriter vibes.

WAY better soundtrack than any of the ones you just mentioned.
Exclusive tracks include two by PJ, 1 by Soundgarden, 1 by Smashing Pumpkins, 1 by Chris Cornell, and 2 by Paul Westerberg. The PJ and Pumpkins songs are widely regarded as some of the best tracks in their catalogs.
The only new tracks that were "non-exclusive" were from AIC, Mudhoney, and Screaming Trees... and the ST song is the only one most people know or care about, so it's handy to have it here.

Watching the movie tonight. I still relate to it. It's still great. I still love it. And still a great soundtrack.
