after a few plays, I'm really not feeling this album. it's easy to listen to and pick up on but it's just so plain and common denonimator with nothing really grabbing your attention. I know I'll probably catch heat for this cuz mac demarco fans like whatever the dude puts out but it just isn't for me.
hopefully he digs himself out of this hole by the next LP

It's darker than the picture makes it look. If I had to place it on the spectrum that the label posted before, it's closest to the fourth one down. I ordered Salad Days too, so when that's done spinning I'll throw on TOD and let y'all know how it sounds.

Easy pass.

I listened through the 4th album but the first two are definitely best. I like them equally. 
 
I started listening to the song on YouTube. Fucking terrible. Really lame riffing and unnecessarily long intro before those vocals and the terrible mixing became obvious. Holy shit. But again, I haven't listened to anything of his past 1994 so I wasn't expecting to enjoy it.

Digging these 2 especially. I've been following Laughingloone on IG for a while, unfortunately missed their visit to Portland last fall (I'm in Seattle but would have made plans to go down). I've seen the cat before but didn't recall the artist's name. It's another style I really like. 
 
I need to plan my next one. Got my first in 20 years last fall - need to continue.

Never been to Europe before. Cheap flights and cheap air bnb. From what I've researched it is tourist focused on the coast (split & Dubrovnik) and decent English. It's also beautiful with a lot of old architecture and a moderate climate. It's directly across the Adriatic from Italy to put it in context. 

Why is the kerning different on the shirt versus the album cover? Look at the spacing between the D and the A on the shirt. *shudder*

You know the current musical scene is in a very sorry state of affairs when the first 3 lines of bands at ALL international festivals are comprised of reunions or acts that released their best stuff 25 years ago..

I agree Rooks, I never even look at the EE portion of the board. Would love to see music all grouped together regardless of whether or not a vinyl PO exists.

i mean discogs started out as a database to catalog electronic music releases. obviously the site has grown beyond that, but for someone who is maybe unfamiliar with the site doing research on it, i don't think its a crazy conclusion (albeit outdated) based on their history

This one is 80w per channel - the Sansui it's replacing was 35w.
And thanks - it's gonna be ok, just my home and comfort zone flipped upside down!   But it's amicable. And I picked up a new TT this weekend! A white Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Esprit SB. Listening now and very pleased with it so far. I've played 4 records on it since getting it Saturday and each has sounded fantastic.
