It really annoys me that people think just because someone's politics differ from theirs they can't enjoy the art or music they make. I could care less about kanye's political or religious views, cause they greatly differ from my own, that doesn't stop me from enjoying his work. If you only consume art from people who share your views you must have an extremely narrow minded view of the world

Grammar God damnit!

I just think it's ridiculous they call a white record 'White Chrysantheum' or 'Flesh Inside Plastic with Brunette, Lipstick, and Mascara Splatter' then in parentheses (Bone white inside clear with brown,  blood red , and black splatter) like why not just call it what it is? It's the marketing nonsense that people fall for I guess, cause relapse knows not everyone who buys the fancy colors buys them for 'the music'. I try not to get bothered about things other people do but it's hard to overlook the ridiculousness here

I seriously hate this guy, and I've never even bothered to watch his videos. Just seems like the prototype of self important hipster who has "good taste in music bro"

Those looks like screenprints and not etchings but they are very cool. If they are etchings color me impressed

Next time they tour I'm probably going to drive out to see them. Last time they played here (their hometown city) they basically said "It's not worth playing here." They aren't wrong...but still, it hurts.

When I see that sort of thing part of me just wants to be happy that they're happy and enjoying themselves. But I also want them to know the pain of collecting a band like End of a Year/Self Defense Family.

I felt like there was more talking on this than rapping or singing but I liked it for what it was, which I think it was Kanye dealing with some serious personal/ mental trauma. He wasn't afraid to say what he felt in the moments he was feeling it and I like that. He wasn't trying to make a 'definitive' album, he made an album entirely of the moment and he really provoked a lot of people, and nobody can deny that Kanye has the power to provoke thought and conflict more than any other artists these days.
