Box set showed up today. This thing is stunning. I managed to fit the records into the box still in their paper sleeves. I wasn't able to do that with my AMSP box. It makes things a little wonky, but gives some extra protection to the records. I'm excited to give this a spin and see how it compares to my blue pressing, although I've only listened to Side E on the blue pressing so far. Listened to it about 20 times, that is. Having official recordings of "Lift" and "Man of War" on vinyl is all that I need.

Here's  a pic of it. Mostly brown with hues of red, orange, and teal here and therere.

It's worth buying for a chance at a golden ticket, but it's also a really good single.

This is interesting, I'm diggin it, but didn't anticipate this for an album closer.
 
Also, I have some signed picture discs, the signature won't hurt the playability of the record if it's on the record itself, alternatively he can sign the part where the label would be where there is no music. 

Busy week for the Gorillaz people. Just today we got a new track. This one is completely a whole new B-side separated from both the Deluxe and Super Deluxe albums.

Not surprised by the price hike on the bundle at least. $55 was a steal for what you were getting, but the new price is too high. Go figure.

Damn, after (decent) shipping this comes out to about 68CAD for me.
It's a good album, maybe even great (Certainly the singles are some of the best he's ever done), and I love the colour choice but I can't justify that cost. There's a  bit of filler (par for the course) too.
I'd buy a vinyl edition of Total Devastation, his Greatest Hits in a heartbeat, colour variant or not. Heck, I'd buy an updated 3xLP version since some of his most recent jams are OK.

Not pics, but it looks blue, and sounds a little like the lead singer from EL VY on the vocals, and the drums are a bit like Pfarmers and LNZNDRF

Since today's the 10th, lots of people are expecting an announcement in the band's monthly newsletter today. We shall see.
