In for the TP. Got that version for his last album and it’s a nice package. Plus you get a copy of the early bird variant.

It looks like the smart punk variant is also available in U.K.  here https://devildogdistro.com/products/owen-the-falls-of-sioux-lp?_pos=1&_sid=d2d343d98&_ss=r

whoa reacted to SNEAKORDS in [PO NOW] Portishead - Roseland NYC Live (25th Anniversary Edition)
25th Anniversary Edition of the pioneering Bristol trio’s album, Roseland NYC Live; recorded and filmed at New York’s Roseland Ballroom with a 28-piece orchestra in 1997, and released in 1998.

The live album and concert film combined have sold over 1 million copies to date, and features performances of the most acclaimed tracks, ‘Glory Box’, ‘Sour Times’, and ‘Roads’, from their debut and sophomore albums, Dummy and Portishead.

Newly remastered, the tracklist has been expanded to include ‘Undenied’ and ‘Numb’ from the concert film, as well as the full length performance of ‘Western Eyes’, which played in part over the credits of the film.

‘Sour Times’ and ‘Roads’ are also now the original Roseland versions (previously substituted on the album release with recordings from other performances). All 5 of these tracks will be on CD and vinyl for the first time.

    Release date: 26th April 2024 **

2LP pressed on solid red vinyl, with gatefold sleeve, a double-sided fold out poster, and a recreation of the guest ‘backstage’ sticky pass used at the concert.

I'm a bit limited with local stores, but will try and hit up two or three of them that day as I really want this and Mansun.
Else will keep an eye on out banquet, norman, Piccadilly, specialist subject etc as they post leftovers pretty sharpish.

At first I thought this was kinda cheesy. Then I played the new version, then I played the original version. After sitting with it, its actually really cool they did this. While the original is a classic, you can hear how young they were when they recorded it, it was pure. Now hearing the new version you can hear how the song has grown over 23 years of touring and how mature they sound. Brandon's voice is deep and worn, the band is in the groove. As a band, you dream of these moments and I think its cool they stayed together long enough to do this.

I just joined interscope Vinyl collective subscription in Jan. January’s record for the interscope vinyl collective.
product is Juice WRLD - "Goodbye & Good Riddance" IVC Edition. I received a copy of the Used's In Love & Death! Is this normal? Is it supposed to be a Used vinyl? $48. 38 a month is a lot for a Used record.  I’m hoping they made a mistake.. The limited edition factor is what attracted me to this service. If I knew it was the Used I would not have joined.

After getting a chance to listen to both OCG and CB, I can confidently say that those are worth the price alone (for most of you who more than likely bought the set for those anyways).  Clear, loud, no pops or clicks.  And add the fact they’re actually easy and convenient to listen to is just the icing on the cake.  Couldn’t be happier.  Only downside is the boring art but hey, can’t have it all.

I mean, the price makes much more sense once it's in your hand.

Flimsy box, no-frills plain single sleeves, all black and white ink, no inserts, lyrics, or track listings.  At least they opted for clear plastic inners instead of sandpaper.  Only listened to 2x of them so far but sounded good to me.

Still, super glad to have these at an affordable price in a playable format.

I know you’ve all been dying to hear my 2 cents so here it goes…

I’ve curbed on buying a lot of new releases and focused on grabbing 1st presses of my favorite records.  Early rev stuff, first presses of some equal vision releases.  I feel like I kinda hit the wall with new music and not many new hardcore bands do it for me.  But I’ll find out about some old band and go after that collection like most recently Unwound and codeine, which thanks to numero isn’t too hard!

The price of records hasn’t really dissuaded me from buying infact it’s encouraged me.  I’m an independent contractor and we have a record player at work so I write off all my record purchases.  I understand this is 100% not ok, but I don’t give a shit.  And if anyone on here works for the IRS I’m just kidding.

2023 was the year I realized I was buying records just for the sake of buying records. Blind purchases of new albums from bands that released one great album in their career. Band released a new album I really like? Go buy their entire back catalog. Just really dumb purchases overall of albums I may listen to once and never touch again.
I looked at my collection and thought to myself, "There's probably only a couple hundred records here that I would realistically ever sit down with and critically listen to." So unless I am able to listen to the full album first, and can envision myself ever taking the time to sit down and put the record on and critically listen to it, I don't purchase anymore.
Additionally, I realized my music tastes have vastly changed. I've been going through my collection and re-listening to everything to determine what is really worth keeping. So I've also begun selling records as well.
Pretty much just echoing the sentiments of many others that posted in this thread already.

I continued finding new genres/sounds I enjoy so music is as interesting as ever and I'm excited over new records in the mail just about every other day. I've never been a variant hoarder or obsessed with gimmick releases for TV/Movies I like so I'll never have that day where I look at my records with regret. I feel like a lot of you can't let go of your youth through your music taste and it's really not doing you any good. You dress like an adult now so why would a new Blink or Green Day release be mentally exciting? It's impossible and forced unless your brain just stopped developing. Accept it and explore something else, music is endless.

No...this is not a college/university survey post that I just love to approve...cuz ya know, I like starting shit.
2023 seems to have been a helluva year all across the board for a lot of people. Life and the world were completely out of wack.
Do you feel that your collecting and purchasing of vinylz changed in any way? How so? Share your stories.
And what was the one (or few) records that got you the most excited and happy to have snagged/scored/etc.?
