"Three years after their debut album "Aegri Somnia", Lorient, France's DIREWOLVES return with "The Great Year". This new six tracks EP focuses on the more energetic facet of their sound, refining the band's revigorating blend of melodic crust and screamo-influenced hardcore. Recorded & mixed by Guillaume Doussaud at Swan Sound Studios (Amanda Woodward, Aussitôt Mort…), mastered by Dan Coutant at Sun Room Studios (Coliseum, The Sword, Jawbox…) and with artwork once again designed by Førtifem, "The Great Year" is another implacable display of the band's abrasive yet anthemic vision of punk/hardcore."

whoa reacted to gazzo in PO (soon) Millionaire - Sciencing
Legendary Belgian band Millionaire reunites after 12 long years.
New album is coming out on may 19th.
For now you can preorder a 7" of the new single (ltd to 250 on blue)
Usual press statement shizzle:
Millionaire makes long-awaited comeback
Check out the new single and music video ‘I'm Not Who You Think You Are’ from the album ‘Sciencing’, out on 19th May.
Millionaire is back on a high. After a hiatus of twelve years Tim Vanhamel and his band return with ‘I'm Not Who You Think You Are’, a comeback-single with balls. "Nasty, groovy and edgy: this song contains all the familiar elements of Millionaire. We're back", boasts Vanhamel.
‘I'm Not Who You Think You Are’, a song about how we often misjudge people, is the first single from ‘Sciencing’, the long-awaited third Millionaire album, out on 19th of May with Unday Records. The album was recorded at elstudio (http://elstudiocr.com/ ), the all-new recording space of compatriot and sound engineer Jeff Claeys (Admiral Freebee, Jon Spencer & the Blues Explosion) in the Costa Rican village of Santa Teresa. “I'm Not Who You Think You Are' is one of the first songs I made for 'Sciencing', in just one take", says Vanhamel. "It set the tone and direction for the rest of the album."
For the making of the video Millionaire appealed to Jonas Govaerts, director of the Flemish horror film Welp and the predecessor of Vanhamel as guitarist with The Hickey Underworld. He collaborated with animation wizard Jaak De Digitale, who is better-known for his visuals for Evil Superstars, Vermin Twins and Chrome Brulée. The video is made in the spirit of Blade Runner. In it, a girl (played by the Ghent photographer-cum-actress Stine Sampers) has a brilliant trip after she drinks a mysterious potion. “But”, Tim Vanhamel concludes, “as the song title suggests, not everything is what it seems.”

whoa reacted to Derek™ in [PO] Vasudeva – No Clearance
Pipin' hot off the press.
On an embarrassing note, I was not expecting there to be actual photos in the mailer. The one on the bottom right was the only one to fall out of the mailer at first... and upside down, it definitely bears some resemblance to me circa 2013. I don't know why but I immediately freaked out for a split second and considered that the band had obtained photos of me from 4-5 years ago. The feeling was as unsettling as it was short-lived.

A RDR repress would be instant money for Rockstar. I'm fortunate enough to have one and it's one of my most cherished records. I'm also holding out hope for an LA Noire pressing eventually.
