I'm curious if Bongload will get to reissue Mutations and Vultures first. I think the original pressings of those are really great. 

I think it's brilliant to follow a debut 3LP with an EP, and on a great UK label, too.

I'm evil so I downloaded that crud leak… really enjoyed this on my first listen, so much that I pre-ordered it. Almost nearly skipped this else.

This sounds delicious and will now replace VMP's cocktail pairing. But to clarify, I'm not typically a "pairing" type of guy; however, I do somehow have a problem finding new cocktail recipes that are to my liking.
 
Also, I forgot to mention that I got lucky and happened to have gotten a fantastic pressing, and the bass sounds incredibly rich.

I've recently been wanting to try a boulevardier. It's nothing crazy, (somewhat similar to a Manhattan, also often compared to a negroni) but I've never had one before. Surprisingly enough I don't have any campari stocked and I've been so sick the last few days drinking hasn't really been on my mind.

if if you're talking about a recipe for the substitute ingredients above it would just be trying to figure out a ratio you like involving those listed ingredients though.

I find the drink cocktails generally TOO unique for actually making out of a standard bar most people have in their homes. Don't get much value out of that but saving them for a rainy day hopefully. *shrug*
 
I have also found my inner / outer sleeve fit becoming very snug in the most recent AOTM. Small nitpick, but considering the card stock on the outers and printed inners, I believe it's a symptom of a quality package that has +25k units floating around. 

Pretty common I have noticed.  All the recipes I have checked usually always have at least a few ingredients that not only expensive but I will also probably never use them again so I have never made one. It was a cool concept but I am not that serious about my alcohol consumption.
 
There is a guy on Youtube named "Vinyl Rewind" that does reviews of all the albums and used to also make the drinks as well but I do not know if he still does.

So weird that no one I know ever talked about this growing up... Maybe it's just taken for granted and I missed that boat.

Picked up Nocturnal still sealed for $11 locally

Went to see the new one yesterday. After having watched the original anime earlier last week.
 
The new one felt almost a mirror of the original esp. in some of they key shots and scenes. I enjoyed that faithfulness to the source material. Where it derailed for me was the change in the story and how it comes across as a forced justification on the whitewashing of the whole thing. Esp. pushing on you the whole "Here's why ScarJo was cast instead of an Asian actor" agenda and how it all fits in the plot and storyline.
 
I didn't completely hate it...it was enjoyable but you couldn't help but notice how the story unraveled and lets you down by becoming a cliché in the latter half of the movie. The soundtrack by Clint Mansell was great though.
 

I don't think the movie is anywhere near as important or popular as the soundtrack. The only reason i even bothered to watch the movie was because of the music and the fact that i knew that soundgarden/AIC/ PJ made appearances in it. I agree with pretty much most people here who have posted talking about what a significant soundtrack this was at the time and really for a few years following it as well. I was 15  years old living in a 5k person town when it came out and was probably still listening to it regularly when i went to college because it was so good.

Pretty spot on.  Its my favorite soundtrack of all time just in front of The Crow. In regards to Soundgarden, the Pumpkins, AIC, and MLB its my favorite songs of theirs.  The rest is nostalgia overload for me. I love it.  Good times
 
and the Adult Grunge Compilation would be sub pop's The Grunge Years.

I was more a fan of their earlier stuff, but this sounds a bit like Phosphorescent, which I dig. I'd like to hear more before I order. 

WAY better soundtrack than any of the ones you just mentioned. 
Exclusive tracks include two by PJ, 1 by Soundgarden, 1 by Smashing Pumpkins, 1 by Chris Cornell, and 2 by Paul Westerberg. The PJ and Pumpkins songs are widely regarded as some of the best tracks in their catalogs. 
The only new tracks that were "non-exclusive" were from AIC, Mudhoney, and Screaming Trees... and the ST song is the only one most people know or care about, so it's handy to have it here.

Just got my setup back together and spun this for the first time.
 
Very clean and crisp!

Many people have already preordered this thru Amazon for the black version for at least two months. There were no variants on this until just a few days ago when NC announced their variant. But before that there were rumors for years already that this was coming to Vinyl.

Still can't afford it right now (could barely afford the misprint price, hahah), but I showed a close friend the link today and hinted for my bday.  they acted like they might get me that... even if not, I can buy it by next month if it sticks around that price  

Mine should be here Monday. Anyone have reports of sound quality? I know it's half-speed so it should be good but it's nice to know.

Its a strong compilation from start to finish. Also there are exclusive tracks to this as well (Smashing Pumpkins and PJ). Those tracks weren't anywhere else but here and unless you want to shell out for Rearviewmirror, its the only place to get them on vinyl. To call it baby's first grunge comp is a bit dismissive. Many people see this as the definitive snap shot of those first years of Alternative rock. 
 
 
 
 
 

Counterpoint to the guy bitching: Until DD, you basically paid $4-6 a month (vs. $25-29 a month) and you had the option of buying every single AOTM up to this point... albeit a month late, but with the added bonus that you could pass on any album you didn't care about.
 
DD was the first time your plan backfired on you, but let's not pretend you weren't getting the better end of the deal for the last couple years.
