Honestly this is my biggest gripe with VMP, a lot of the records I receive are heavily warped.

I believe any sales record and post after the seller has paid his monthly invoice(sent out first of month for sales through the 15th of prior month) and not actually when they occur

Really excited for this and the show in NY. Grabbed the deluxe. If cherry tree had a deluxe exclusive they would've got me.

I was joking and being self-deprecating since I understand where you're coming from. If we're talking in a general sense I think we agree but I think this scenario is a bit different than a normal public pre-sale where some people miss out, both in the logistical specs of the situation and the wrinkle that the National are a little more appreciative of fans than the average band and wanted a better pre-sale experience for their members. People still missed out on the second pre-sale but there was not a massive backlash afterward because it went more smoothly and those folks understood that they had their fair chance and it didn't work out. For the most part, I feel like National fans are a tiny bit more understanding than some of the other VC band constituencies, which I think are better examples of your point about people whining if things aren't perfect. 

Honestly I'm just sick of listening to entitled people think they are guaranteed something as if being a member of a fairly large artist's fan club guarantees you the best of the best. From what I've seen Cherry Tree has excellent customer service and I'm glad they went above and beyond, more artists and services should give a shit. There's no anger here and I don't consider myself a nihilist, more a realist. Sometimes things don't go the way you want and in the end they don't owe you anything.

Bull Moose has stated for awhile that they’re shipping March 15. Don’t see any reason for worry unless you’re impatient and can’t wait a few more days.

Boxer and Alligator have the advantage of being their breakthrough albums that established their trademark sounds (and, although I am not a huge High Violet fan, it’s A TON of National fans’ first and most nostalgic album of theirs)  but, IMO, Sleep Well Beast in all its under-stated glory is their best written and best recorded album. I am so incredibly excited to hear the new record.

Your first mistake was asking a bunch of snarky collectors if you should get involved in the hobby. 
 
Honestly, I’m not sure what response you would expect here because obviously we all enjoy buying records. Stuff is pressed and repressed constantly, especially now. As far as your musical tastes they’re completely irrelevant because practically everything under the sun is available on vinyl. 
 
All in all its an expensive hobby so if you’re willing to invest the money and time to actually listen to what you buy than of course you should dabble. You’ll get out of it as much or as little as you want and put in. There are setups for every budget, do some research and get what you can afford. But as someone mentioned above don’t buy that crosley crap.

Kinda wish they offered a reissue bundle for all of them with maybe some additional bonus. 

Hopefully we can expect a bonus disc like these two. I'm double dipping on all the albums anyway lol
