we were sent solicitation for indie stores: Indie exclusive deluxe gatefold tip-on LP Deluxe gatefold tip-on jacket and board-mounted sleeve 180g vinyl. The label, domino sent us the email. and we are putting together our order right now.

Nobody deserves anything for free, but UMG isn't helping themselves. They were responding to some cancellation requests in the first 1k orders telling people that they would still get the album as an apology. But now they are telling people that there was a misunderstanding and that isn't going to happen. 

If only they had the last 10 years to work on setting up a release to be on time....

From the looks of the page source they have sold over 11k of the $100 double LPs  in just 6 hours. Unbelievable.
 
They also just now removed the part that said the 1st 1k would ship in Sept and now it just says they will all ship in March 2022.

For the 2 of us on this site who may care, Beggars is finally repressing his solo albums on color vinyl. And there is a boxset of the 5 of them plus a rarities lp which is limited to 500 for $89. Seems to be the same color as the individual lps. But a total of 7 lps for under $100 shipped isn't a bad deal nowadays. I have been whining about Cascade needing a repress forever and paid nearly $300 for my copy.

Some people are finding them in the LPs, some in special displays by holiday areas, or womens' and children's clothing, or right by the registers. Also some stores are saying they aren't supposed to put them out until the 22nd? It is really a mess. But a good 25 Target stores within 50 miles of me show as having it in stock, so they must have pressed a ton of these like normal.

I live near there and Detroit has been a mess since March.  So don't assume it is lost. I have had numerous packages that I have dropped at my local post office that didn't get an acceptance scans for weeks. Some never did and didn't get scanned at all until weeks later when they got delivered. Honestly as of now if it isn't a month late I don't stress about it. Everything i have sent and ordered has showed up at some point.

I grabbed one just because they are easy to cancel with in case something better comes up. I just worry since they aren't on Caldo Verde anymore that the other variants will be direct from Justin which means crazy shipping prices to the states. The RT UK shop also has a gold/white splatter /800.

Last year they partnered with FYE and Barnes and Noble. Target is making a huge push into vinyl exclusives, so maybe they are a partner this year.
 

I know a bunch of people said that back from numerous sources then but I really wonder how accurate it was. There were supposedly 8k each worldwide of The Crow and Lost in Translation. Both have around 3k supposedly in discogs collections. If we were really missing thousands of them then that is a really high percentage of them accounted for on discogs.  A lot of records I have maybe only have around 20% of the copies accounted for on there. But they really were impossible to find so something was definitely up.
