I caught them at Arctangent festival over here at the weekend. They played Grand Paradise, Heartbeats, Nearer My God and Slapstick from the new record. IT SLAPPED - probably my favourite set over the whole weekend. I'd seen them before so I had a rough idea what I was getting into, but on a festival stage with great sound they were legitimately on another level. I'm dying to see them again already!

Not pertaining to this but I have two sessions they did with Little Elephant on clear vinyl. Both out of 5. Got them at Fest last year. Love them.

"Make me feel" Just won. Everything. Favorite song of the year. I'm calling it. I know Courtney Barnetts album hasn't come out yet but there's no way it'll be this good.
Also I think she absorbed Prince or perhaps Fused together with him DBZ style. I'm so excited about this album.

Back in the day when Equal Vision was a go-to label, I would buy so much stuff from them that they'd send me little goodies in the mail every so often (or maybe they just did that with everyone). One time I got an orange Drunk Like Bible Times keychain bottle opener that I've had on my keyring for 10 years now. I've never listened to the album and I don't even drink. I will never take it off.
